Therabox May 2017

The Therabox theme for June is “All Things Happy” and the Happiness Activity is to “pamper yourself, you deserve it!” The brochure says you “Happiness is similar to a garden, in order to keep it blooming you must nurture it daily. Pop a pill to nurture your soul and grow your happiness!”

Therabox also includes a list of all items included in the box which I always find helpful.

Happy Pills Activity - Value $9.99

Vitamin Happy Pill Pen - $8.99

Part of the Happiness Activity is in this cute little house. Therabox sent literal happy pills with smiley faces. There is a little happy pen too.

Therabox May 2017

Inside each happy pill is a small piece of paper that you are supposed to write self-care activity that can be performed in 5-10 minutes. Then you roll up this tiny piece of paper and read and do one activity each day.

The idea for this activity is cute but the paper is very tiny so I’m not so sure I’d carry this one out. Also, I find the prices on these two items a high for what you get.

Your Tea - Happy Tea - Value $25.00

This tea is made from ” Black Tea, Mei Gui Hua (Rose), Gou Qi (goji), Ju Hua (chrysanthemum), Shan Zha (Hawthorn Fruit), Ning Meng (lemon).” I’ve used teas formulate by Eastern medicine practitioners before and I’ve had great results with them. I was very excited to get this item and there are 40 bags! The taste is a bit different than regular American teas but I like the slight lemon flavor.

Warrior Semicolon Necklace - Value $15.00

I wear mostly gold tone jewelry so this is a hit for me and a big plus is that it is not one of those 16-inch necklaces that never fit! This is adjustable and has plenty of length.

Flying Wish Paper - Value $5.00

This card is so pretty and I love this idea of having your wishes (or worries) fly away into the air. This is a great gift idea!

Lively Soul Shop Green Tea Incense - Value $9.00

Incense can be hit or miss as the scents tend to be strong. I liked the sweetness to this green tea incense and have already used three of the sticks.

Ceramic Incense Holder - Value $8.99

As I pulled the incense out of the box, I thought, “It sure would be nice if they included an incense holder too.” Good thinking Therabox! I love this little holder.

Scinic Hydroluronic Acid Essence Mask - Value $5.00

Yeah! A Korean facial mask using bamboo extracts and hyaluronic acid to add moisture and vitamins to the skin. It’s fun to try Korean beauty products and this mask left my skin smooth and soft.

Verdict: Therabox is great! Everything was well curated to the theme and all the products were new to me. The items in this box inspire a feeling of relaxation and calmness when used which is on point with the box mission. I think this is such a fun idea for a box! Wouldn’t this be a great box for someone who is sick, sad or just needs a little pick me up? I’m certainly going to keep this box in mind the next time I need to send loved ones a little something.

As for the value, there is about $87.00 worth of products for $34.95 (plus $4.99 shipping) which is very good for a box of this kind!

You can find those pens on Amazon for less than a dollar a piece. Search “pill pens”.

I like this box, the idea, and the contents – but I wish companies wouldn’t try to over inflate prices like that.

That Happy Tea was in one of my subs from the last 2-3 months– maybe it was Mommy Mailbox??

This is a really cute idea! I have a friend with depression and this would make a great gift. I’m going to keep my eye’s on the spoiler’s for next month.
