Lariat Necklace by Stash Selection - Value $12.95

This necklace is a simple lariat style. You weave the long bar through the open loop and can adjust it the length you want, though with movement the necklace does slide around. I don’t know much about the metal makeup since the website offered no details.

Swimsuit Cover-Up by La Leela - Value $10.00?

This swimsuit cover-up is a gauzy material made of 100% polyester. It’s basically a long scarf with small pearl-like buttons on both sides and a slit for your head. You can wear the cover-up two different ways. The buttons can run down your arms with the solid piece of fabric across your chest and back, or you can wear the buttons down your chest and back. It’s got a blue background with a detailed paisley pattern. This piece just isn’t my style and I find polyester to be a pretty hot, unbreathable fabric so it’s not what I would personally want against my skin at the beach or pool.

Luggage Tag– Value $3.00?

I think a luggage tag is a great addition to a summer/vacation themed box. This tag is a Mommy Mailbox exclusive. From the feel of it, I would say it’s not real leather. It has a buckle to attach it to your suitcase handle and a spot to fill in your personal information should you become separated from your luggage.

McCrea’s Black Lava Sea Salt Caramels, 1.4 oz. – Value $3.95

I’m a caramel lover and these black lava sea salt caramels from McCrea’s are amazing. Sometimes I find salted caramels too salty, but these hit all the right sweet and salty notes and leave my mouth very happy. This cute pillow box had 1.4 ounces of individually wrapped caramels, perfect for sharing, or not!

LaRitzy Lip Pencil - Value $18.00

I don’t use a lip pencil in my everyday makeup routine. However, when I want a bolder lip I occasionally fill my entire lip in with pencil and add gloss on top. This LaRitzy pencil is perfect for that. The color is called Bare and is a reddish pink.

Modish Polish Nail Polish - Value $12.00

This polish is vegan, cruelty-free and 5 free. The creamy pale yellow color is called Malibu sunrise and I think would be perfect on a set of tan fingers of toes in the warm summer months. Unfortunately, yellow polishes and makeup just don’t work with my pale coloring. I will pass this on to my friend at work. She loves anything yellow!

Verdict: Mommy Mailbox was just not a great fit for me this month. Yet I loved last month, so I think it was just not a love connection for June. The value this month was almost $60 with my estimations which is much more than the $33.95 cost of the box. I loved the caramels and will use some of the other items as well. Hopefully, it was a better fit for everyone else!

I didn’t love this box either…but I actually think the value is a bit higher than listed. Since I wanted to swap the coverup I went to the website (I was actually a bit surprised the brand had a website!) and while I couldn’t find the exact one, it looks like similar ones were in the $15-22 range. I also agree with Jane that the luggage tag is probably worth more than $3. I was at Container Store yesterday looking at luggage tags for my kids, and the faux leather ones were $8-$12…even the cruddy thin plastic ones (which I ended up getting for them 😉 ) were $3 each. So even though this month wasn’t a hit for me either, I do think the value was decent. That being said…i haven’t gotten any interest in the coverup!

I actually really loved this box! I will use everything in it. The swimsuit cover is perfect for the boho trend and I’m in love with the necklace! I received a teal color nail polish, which I love, but I kind of wish I’d gotten the yellow! And I would value the cute luggage tag wayyy higher than $3. While none of the items were super high value, they were all great for summer! And there were 6 items instead of the usual 5!

This was my first box with them after giving the mystery box a try. I really enjoyed the items in the mystery box but I had problems with this one. First off, they forgot to ship it, but I will say that when I contacted them about it, they were on top of things and got right back to me about it. As far as the items in the box though, I was a little disappointed. I don’t know what I would do with that blue polyester scarf thing and yellow is not my color for nail polish. The little gold necklace is a pretty little thing so I might wear that and I already had that exact lip pencil from another box. I do like the color though. Those caramels are to die for. 😀 I’ll enjoy those and give the little necklace a try.

While this month wasn’t that great, I’m really looking forward to see what comes in July.

I love lariat necklaces, but they’re usually too long for me & get lost in Mt cleavage! That one looks nice & short!

Oh man, that’s supposed to say “my cleavage”… but what can I do? Autocorrect is too real.
