Palmetto Derma Essential Moisturizing Cream, 2 fl oz - Value $48.00
This moisturizer is a great new discovery for me. It’s paraben-, sulfate-, and cruelty-free, and it also helps heal, hydrate, and mattify your skin. I love that it contains Vitamin C, lavender, and other soothing ingredients. This smells nice and fresh and light, feels great on my skin, and left it feeling super soft.
Law Beauty Essentials Nail Polish in “A Lot of Spice”, 0.37 fl oz - Value $9.00
I think this is my favorite product in this box! It’s an amazing summer color–a pretty, light coral/peach. The formula has a great finish, but I needed 3 coats to feel like I really got a solid, opaque coverage.
This shade just makes me happy. And it looks amazing as a toe polish, too! Without a base or top coat, this polish lasted about 5 or 6 days without major chips (minor chipping near the tips or edges, but nothing that was like, “okay, I have to take this off now.”). I love it!
La Ritzy Lip Pencil in “Beau” - Value $18.00
This lip pencil has plant oils and waxes in it to moisturize and protect your lips. It’s a fantastic everyday shade that’s easy to wear. It had good staying power, as well. You can see this swatched and worn below.
Ardency Inn Modster Light-Catching Eye Powder in Brighton Social - Value $32.00
This is an interesting product. (I feel like Ardency Inn has a lot of those.) It’s “a blend of ultra-fine pearl powders.” It’s an iridescent, almost micro-glitter finish, but not quite. You can use it alone as a shadow, over another color of shadow as an effect, or with a wet brush to get maximum color payoff.
The product has potential, but this packaging is odd and inconvenient. It’s a loose powder, but the inside just has this small hole to access the product. You can dump some into the lid, but then it’d be hard to get it back into the container. I also had a hard time actually accessing the powder with my brush, and it was dry. It’d be very hard to grab product strategically with a wet brush.
IDUN Minerals Lip Gloss in Astrid, 0.20 fl oz. - Value $15.00
This gloss contains Nordic cloudberry oil, which I’ve never heard of, and Vitamin E (and minerals, which you may have guessed from the name). This shade, Astrid, is a pale, iridescent color that really doesn’t have much of a color. This is a great gloss to put over matte lipsticks or liquid lipsticks (or even a certain lip pencil that was also sent in this box...) to change the look subtly.
Here’s swatches of the lip pencil, eye powder, and lip gloss.
Here, I’m wearing all three of those swatched products (and the moisturizer and nail polish, technically, but you obviously can’t see those). On the left, I’m wearing just the lip pencil (I love this color!), and on the right I have the gloss over the pencil. I love the shimmer it adds and think it just brightens up my whole look!
And here’s a better look at the eye powder. I’m wearing it alone, over an eye primer. You can see that this way gives it a subtle, iridescent look.
The Verdict: I always find something new to love in my Benevolent Beauty boxes. I also like the variety of products I get each month. This month, the value adds up to $122, which is on the high end of what I’ve come to expect from this box–always an amazing value!
