Sticker Swaps Logo Sticker
The first sticker in the box is just a logo for the company. It's around 3 inches wide and tall—most of the stickers in this pack are around that size. It's big enough that you won't miss it (or won't have trouble reading it) if it's stuck on a water bottle, laptop, guitar case... wherever you like to show off your stickers. The finish is shiny, and it feels pretty sturdy. It's not the thickest sticker ever, and I don't think it's waterproof in any way, but it also feels like it'd stay stuck for a good while.
"Hustle Hard. Stay Humble." Sticker
There isn't any information in the envelope about the stickers inside—it's kind of a bummer, since I'd like to learn about these global designers. This sticker did, however, have a designer's website listed, so I could check out his Behance page. I love the crisp black and white design and marker-like script. The saying is cool, too—this is a good sticker for my work laptop, or to tack to the corkboard above my desk for a bit of workday inspiration.
Fox Sticker
Foxes are kind of having a moment right now, aren't they? This isn't my favorite fox design ever—the illustration style just isn't up my alley. But there are plenty of folks I know who might love this little fox. I might hang onto it and slip it into a greeting card or use it to decorate a birthday gift.
Crossbones Sticker
Oooh, there's something about this sticker that I really like. I think it's the colors—they're just so pretty, and the way they fade into one another is kind of magical. I'm not particularly passionate about the bones shape, but hey, I'm a Pittsburgh Pirates baseball fan, so maybe I can justify the crossbones that way!
Ommmmm Coffee Sticker
So, I'm not totally stoked about the illustration style of this sticker (it feels a little juvenile to me), but this sticker captures two of my biggest hobbies in one design—yoga and drinking generous amounts of coffee. For that reason alone, I might have to hang onto this guy!
Walrus Sticker
Sooo... this guy isn't my favorite. I'm not sure I really get it. Is it an "I Am the Walrus" reference (the walrus has kind of a late '60s Lennon-esque mustache...)? What's that ball all about? If someone recognizes this, let me know! For now, this guy is probably just going to get dumped into my desk drawer.
Mountains Sticker
I really like this circular sticker! I'm a mountains-and-lakes kind of gal, so this design hearkens to my favorite vacation vistas. The thick, graphic lines and crisp colors are also right up my alley. I do wish the gradient lines in the sky were a little softer (more of a true ombre), but overall, I really dig it.
Creepy Eyeball Sticker
I'm a little creeped out by this eyeball, but I love the drawing style. The colors are really weird, yet cool. And there's something about its simplicity that's kind of awesome. I don't know where I'll stick this, but I'm definitely hanging onto it.
Retro Computer Sticker
This sticker is so cute! I like the nod to retro Mac computers—there's even a floppy disk drive! Remember those? The rainbow colors are super cool, too. I'm definitely putting this on some piece of tech of mine. I think it'd be cute to stick on a phone case since my phone does everything an old Mac used to do (and then some)!
Bad Puss Cat Sticker
This irreverent little kitty might be my favorite sticker in the bunch. I feel like I've had a few cats with the kind of 'tude this critter is giving off... I love how equally cute and cranky this edgy cat is. Also I would love a cool pink jacket with spiky shoulders for myself!
Cinnamon Snail Sticker
At first, I was worried that cinnamon sticks, like the ones this snail is sitting on, do something horrible and weird to snails, almost like salt does. But when I searched for "cinnamon snails" online, I was greeted with a bunch of clever recipes for making cinnamon rolls that look like snail shells. That's way less sinister than I thought! I'm not 100% sure if that's what this sticker is intending, but I'm gonna go with it, haha!
The Verdict: I liked my first Sticker Swaps pack! The designs were unique, colorful, and quirky, and the stickers felt like they were pretty high quality. I get lots of sticker subscriptions that feature sheets of smaller stickers, so I liked that this shook things up and provided big decal-esque designs. For just $9.00 (plus free shipping) I got 10 stickers (11 if you count the Sticker Swaps logo design), meaning each is valued at just under $1.00. That's what I'd expect to pay for a single sticker at a store (if not a little more), so I think this pack is more than fairly priced!
