SnackSack includes a product list for the month and also denotes which snacks are vegetarian, gluten-free, and non-GMO. I love to snack and don't have dietary restrictions, but always looking to be healthier in my food choices, so I'm excited to dig into this month's box!

This burlap sack was also included. I like the idea of using this as a lunch and snack carrier for the office!

Wise Cinnabon Popcorn, 2- 0.5 oz. bags - Total Value $0.63 (buy a 5.5 oz. bag for $3.49)

Cinnabon was my jam in the 90's! So of course, I was intrigued by the two bags of gluten-free popcorn in this month's SnackSack. When I opened the first bag, my senses were immediately engulfed with a mix of cinnamon and vanilla icing flavors.

The initial taste of the popcorn is quite good. The flavors coat the popcorn but don't overpower. The popcorn is also lightly salted, so you get a taste of salt and sweet, which I love! The only thing off-putting was the cinnamon and popcorn aftertaste, but it quickly subsides and definitely did not stop me from eating up one package quickly.

Pure Growth Organic White Cheddar Mickey Popcorn, 0.5 oz. - Value $0.63 (buy an 8-pack for $4.98)

Turns out there are a couple bags of popcorn in SnackSack this month. But, I love popcorn, so I'm definitely not complaining! This second bag is white cheddar and organic, gluten-free, and popped in the US. This size is perfect for kids, as is Mickey Mouse on the front of the bag.

This popcorn is awesome and I wish this bag was larger! The white cheddar is nice and salty but the popcorn is lightweight and airy. It tastes healthy, but I still feel like I'm having a flavorful treat. I was able to finish this bag in one sitting.

Cosmos Creations Premium Puffed Corn, 1.25 oz. - Value $0.63 (buy a 6.5 oz. bag for $3.29)

Wow, this next bag is the same value as the others, but a larger bag... And the puffed corn is packed with a lot of sweet flavors! Non-GMO corn is puffed and flavored with coconut and vanilla. It is also gluten-free, made with no high fructose corn syrup or kernels. This is one of my favorite snacks this month - each puff is coated and crunchy and it's hard to stop eating them!

Cosmos Creations Premium Puffed Corn, 1.25 oz. - Value $0.67 (buy a 6.5 oz. bag for $3.49)

I received a second flavored puff corn from Cosmo Creations. This bag is salted caramel and made in the same manner as the coconut. This variety is also nice and sweet and full of crunch, but I prefer the coconut flavor better.

Tasty Brand Strawberry Sandwich Cookies, 1.38 oz. - Value $0.52 (buy a 9.5 oz. box for $3.56)

This is a 3-pack of strawberry shortcake flavored cookies. Vanilla creme is sandwiched between two strawberry-flavored cookies. This treat is organic and made with soy or wheat.

Overall the cookies were just OK. They had a weird almost chalky aftertaste and I think I was expecting much sweeter of a treat. They were good, but not my favorite this month.

Pamela's Products Chocolate Almond Oatmeal Oat Up Bar, 1.59 oz. - Value $1.49 (buy a 12-pack for $17.83)

I received two gluten-free and organic bars from Pamela's, which is a new brand to me. The first is 2 chocolates and almond flavored. I liked this more than I thought I would. Likely because the chocolate is very apparent and mixes nicely with the oats. The texture is soft, moist and chewy, but the bar crumbles pretty easily, which was a bit surprising. Very good, though!

Pamela's Products Cinnamon Oatmeal Oat Up Bar, 1.59 oz. - Value $1.49 (buy a 12-pack for $17.83)

This second snack had a similar consistency and texture, although tasted a bit drier than the chocolate and almond version. The cinnamon is really overpowering and it reminds me of potpourri. I did not enjoy this flavor as much as the first but appreciate SnackSack sending a variety of this brand to try.

Watusee Foods Rosemary Chickpeatos, 1 oz. - Value $0.61 (buy a 5 oz. bag for $3.05)'

I really wanted to love these because I like chickpeas, however, they are definitely my least favorite from this month's box. Although organic, gluten-free, and containing 6 grams of protein, I can't get past the rosemary flavor, a herb I typically avoid. The chickpeas are very lightly salted, so an earthy blandness is exaggerated. However, if you enjoy rosemary, there's a good chance you may enjoy these. I would be interested in tasting their Spicy Cayenne or Tomato Basil options too.

Vintage Italia Bow Ties Pasta Chips, 1.5 oz - Value $1.09 (buy a 12-pack of 5 oz. bags for $43.60)

I wasn't sure what to expect when I saw the "meatball parm" flavor proudly featured on the front of this snack. But I was pleasantly surprised. These chips are non-GMO and oven-baked, so they didn't taste like an unhealthy snack. The best comparison I can think of is a pizza-flavored combo without the inside cheese. They are crispy and full of savory flavor.

Belgian Boys Mini Cookie Stash, 1 oz. - Value $0.83 (buy a 24-pack for $19.99)

These cute little mustaches are cookie butter flavored and have a sweet animal cracker quality to them. They are produced in Belgium and are non-GMO, nut-free, and contain no palm oil. They are hard and crunchy, but not dry - really the perfect snack cookie. I liked these a lot!

Pretzel Perfection Twice-Baked Pretzel Sticks, 1 oz. - Value $1.66 (buy a 3 oz. bag for 4.99)

The last food snack this month are these garlic herb pretzel sticks from Pretzel Perfection, also a new brand to me. I swear I detect rosemary again, but it's not listed in the ingredients. Still, there's a strong herb mix, along with garlic, which saves these for me. The pretzel sticks are very crunchy and gluten-free.

Wonderwell Peach Water, 6.75 fl oz. - Value $1.06 (buy a 32-pack for $33.99)

SnackSack read my mind - I need a drink after all those snacks! Amazon sells three different Wonderwell flavors: peach, strawberry, and watermelon. They all sound great, but peach-anything is my favorite and I'm glad to get to try this. Well, this brand's largest claim on the packaging is the there is no sugar added, and they're right. The water is flavored with peach, which is nice, but it's definitely unsweetened. As much as I crave sugar, I liked the flavor and can see why this is marketed for children.

Verdict: This was another good box from SnackSack. I received 11 items (if you count the Cinnabon popcorn bags as one), that have a value of $11.31, which again is below the cost of the box. From a discovery standpoint, I am very happy to have found a couple new brands and great flavors of popcorn. However, I do hope SnackSack includes a couple more snacks in the future or an additional brand to broaden their curation and increase the box's value.

I cancelled my sub after two months. I try to avoid sugar and just felt like not only was this sub overpriced, but too many sugary snacks. I can to to Aldi’s and get lots of organic and healthy snacks with much less to no sugar for $22.

I like the selection but the value is only half the price so I’m not interested. They will have to do better to even be considered.

Tasty Brand is also vegan and I wonder if there was something lost with respect to the filling and cookie by attempting to avoid dairy-based ingredients.

I notice the Pretzel Perfection sticks list a generic “spices” at the end of the ingredients list so it is possible there actually IS rosemary in them (especially since the flavor is “garlic HERB”). I like some flavors of theirs but their tomato basil pretzels taste like they were baked after being dipped in ketchup and don’t actually contain any basil.

Thanks for the great review!

I would be all over this sub if the value is closer to the price 🙂
