KitNipBox is a monthly subscription box just for cats. Each month, expect a themed selection of toys and treats for your kitty! None of the food products in the box are made in China, though some of the toys may be. All KitNip Box toys are thoroughly assessed for quality and safety by the KitNipBox team.

The box got kind of beat up in the mail, but everything inside was fine!

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

This review is of the Multi-Cat, $29.99 a month, box.

The Cost: $19.99 a month for the “Happy Cat” box and $29.99 a month for the “Multi-Cat” box.

The information card included a list of items in the box. They included values and I have used a lot of these below because KitNipBox toys can be hard to find for sale online. This month was garden-themed.

Multipet Sock Pals (Rabbit) – Value $5.79

I love the eyeballs on this thing. More importantly, it is a knitted texture and Madison really likes toys with a knitted texture. He was sleepy when I took photos for this box, but he had fun with this one later on.

Meijer Natural Fish with Feather Tail – Listed Value $4

Angus liked this a lot. Angus enjoys licking feathers, though, so anything with feathers is a win for us.

Catnip Carrot Pillow – Listed Value $5

This is another Angus favorite. Naturally, after I took photos, he tossed this all over the place. (Well, in fairness, he’d been napping right before photo time.)

Linen Mouse Wand – Listed Value $7

Before I opened this box, I said “I hope there is a dangly toy on a stick in there!” and there was. Dangly toys on sticks are lots of fun for both Sneaky and Angus. I actually think the string was a bit too long for this, so I wrapped it around the wand a few times and tied it off. But that may only be true if you are trying to use the wand with one hand and hold a giant DSLR camera with the other, and under normal circumstances, the string length is probably less important.

LEAP Pet Products Cat Grass Seeds – Listed Value $3

You’ll get a lot of LEAP products in KitNipBox. I can’t usually find them anywhere else (but I guess that means you won’t get repeats if you subscribe to more than one cat box). Cat grass is especially fun for Monkey and Mr. Kitty so I am going to find a little pot and plant this.

Paws n’ Purrs Sisal Beet – Listed Value $4

Sisal toys are very popular at my house – both Madison and Monkey are fans. Feathers are usually popular, too!

My Little Lion Salmon-licious Treats – Value $2.88

My Little Lion treats are some of my cats’ favorites lately and so I am always happy to see them. They are a little stinky (especially the fishy ones). You can see them out of the bag in some of the cat pictures. They are semi-moist and come in a bag with a zip-top seal.

Wellness Complements Trufood Shredded Chicken and Flaked Mackerel in Broth (1.75 oz) – Value $1.17 (buy a case of 24 for $27.99)

I’m saving this for a special occasion but we have had a couple of packets of this from other cat subscriptions and it is always a win. I am trying to get Monkey to gain weight and I think he would like to eat this as fishy things with broth are some of his favorites.

Kitty photo time…

Angus liked the fish wand.

Angus inspects a treat.

Madison poses with some of the toys from the box and eats a treat. I woke him up for these pictures and so he wasn’t very active.

Monkey puts up with me. I think he wanted to sleep in the sunny window.

He was interested in a treat, though!

Sneaky had a lot of fun with this toy, so I think the deadpan expression on her face is really funny.

Sneaky bites a stick!

Sneaky nearly takes my hand off trying to get at a treat.

Mr. Kitty was sleepy. He’s old, though, and deserves all the rest he wants.

Verdict: I calculated a value of $32.84 for the May KitNipBox. That is a little above the cost of the box, which is good for a cat subscription. Perhaps more importantly, though, some of my cats’ favorite things were in this box – My Little Lion treats, feathers, dangly toys on wands, etc. So it was a big hit with my cats!

Random question, but I’m going to be moving to Anchorage by June. Do you know if this box ships to Alaska? Just found out one of my favorites doesn’t ship there 🙁

What Monkey needs to gain weight??? That furry boy doesn’t look underweight haha.

Monkey looks like he is my biggest cat but he is actually one of the smallest. His fur is deceptive. He should way 12 or 13 pounds but he is hovering around 10. He is really picky about food.

He does, however, beg for feta cheese EVERY SINGLE NIGHT when I get anywhere near the refrigerator.
