Upcycled Lunch Bag, Kenya - Value $10?

This lunch bag is made from upcycled cement bags! And it is finished with fabric trim on the edges and handles:

I like the choice of mixing the somewhat basic cement bag plastic with a bold fabric pattern.

It measures about 12 inches tall, 8 inches wide, with 4 inches in depth. (And it folds up nicely, too!)

Eco Lunch Box Tri Bento - Value $26

This bento box is all stainless steel so it's dishwasher safe and BPA free!

I'm trying to transition to as much glass and stainless steel as possible for cooking/eating, so this is perfect for leftovers!

This set includes a lid and three containers that stack together.

Handmade Cloth Napkin, India - Value $5

This napkin is 100% cotton with a stamped print design.

On the rare occasions when I pack a lunch, I have never thought to add a napkin, but that changes now that I have a cute lunch napkin and lunch bag!

Light My Fire Spork, Sweden - Value $3

This spork is BPA-free and dishwasher safe, too! It's pretty lightweight, though, so I wouldn't recommend using it for any heavy-duty spork needs! (It gets some mixed reviews on REI due to breakage.)

GlobeIn Greeting Card, 6×4″ (Retail $3)

This box also included a blank card that fits well with the lunch theme.

This box also included a $30 coupon code for Matter Prints - and it works on their sale section, too!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $47. I think that's a fair value for the cost, and I could be underestimating the cost of the lunch bag (I wasn't having any luck finding it online). And as always, I love that this is a subscription that focuses on fair trade and giving back. And everything in this box is super practical, too.

What do you think of the May 2017 GlobeIn Artisan box? Which box did you pick this month?

I subscribed to get this box within the box selection timeframe. I received the box yesterday and it was the Savour box, which was fine, but not the box I ordered. So I emailed them last night about the error and heard back from them first thing this morning that they were mailing out the Lunch box and I could keep the Savour box as well. I got tracking information within 10 minutes of that email. Assuming I get the correct box, I couldn’t be more happy with their resolution. They’ve made me a loyal customer!

I love all of Globein’s upcycled bags and picnic blanket so I know I will love the lunch bag as well.

You can use the napkin to tie up your bento box to carry and use as a napkin or table cloth when you eat your lunch. That’s what we used to do in grade school in Taiwan. There was also a giant steamer thing that everyone put their lunch into an hour before lunch to heat up so we could eat hot lunches. Those were of course metal boxes. Not sure how we would heat up a metal lunch box here in America though
