Now, onto the items!

Stemless Wine Glasses (Set of Two), Mexico (Retail $30)

These glasses are stunning! The color dots add a little extra texture for better grip and serve as a reminder that there are handmade!

They are heavier than I expected. It's a solid feeling glass that could also double as a tealight holder, too.

Mini Handwoven Basket, Mexico, 3×4″ (Retail $10)

This basket is smaller than the standard GlobeIn basket (it measures about 4 inches across).

I like getting different baskets for storage, and this mini one is too cute!

I'm going to try using it as a succulent holder!

Neem Wood Cheese Board, India (Retail $15)

This cheese board is small (about 10 inches long by 3.5 inches wide), but it should hold a cheese block or two!

Mouse Cheese Knife, India, 7″ (Retail $10)

I'm way too amused by this cheese knife - the mouse it just too cute! And look at the tail:

GlobeIn Greeting Card, 6×4″ (Retail $3)

This box also included a blank card that fits well with the wine glasses!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $68. I think that's a fair value for the cost, especially for a subscription that focuses on fair trade and giving back. And the wine glasses and mouse knife are so great!

What do you think of the May 2017 GlobeIn Artisan box? Which box did you pick this month?

Interesting, here it is a year later and as a new subscriber I am seeing some of the same problems mentioned here, inconsistencies in processing, delays with shipping ( have yet to receive this month’s box. Great cause but the operations of this company need work

Hello has anyone else received an email about a cutting board production issue? I just got one saying some will receive a substitute…..I’m just glad it wasn’t the mouse knife being subbed…..it’s so bloody cute I can’t wait to see it.

I received the email a couple of days before receiving the box. The box arrived yesterday and did include the cutting board. Does anyone know what item was substituted?

Oh, I also did not get the “Wine down” card in my box, while that’s a small item, it’s just another example of the inconsistency I’ve noticed.

Kelsey

Instead of getting a cutting board I got a third glass. They’re lovely glasses but I already have way too many. I also picked this box because I specifically wanted the cutting board, so this was a disappointment for me. That coupled with the big price increase and the slow shipping from last month has led me to cancel my subscription. It just seems like every month there’s some kind of issue, I don’t trust the shipping/inventory issues to get worked out so I’m not willing to pay the new higher price for the boxes.

Shawn

I did today.

My subscription expired and I decided not to renew. Neither of the boxes this month impressed me. I have subscribed for a year. The cheeseboard and a very, very similar basket both came in a previous box. That cutting board is very small. The other option, the metal lunch box did not appeal to me at all.
This box used to be one of my favorites and I have received some very beautiful ceramic pieces and hand blown glassware, but duplicating items now. I will keep watching and renew if I get excited about a box.
If you are new, you will love this box.

I just got my first box and got the “Savour”. I am blown away by how beautiful the salt and pepper shaker with matching spoon rack are. Loved everything in it. So glad that I decided to subscribe to this one. I was glad to see your review as that is the box I have chosen for May.

That mouse cheese knife is the cutest. It would be such a great piece on a cheese board at a party or gathering.

If I opt in for a subscription today (5/5/17), am I able to select this “Epicure” Box for May (is it still available)?

I’m trying to avoid getting this box. I LOVE the glasses, but I already ordered the cheese knife on Amazon. The glasses are just gorgeous!!

Argh! Me too! They are so beautiful and I’m having a hard time resisting even though I do not need any more wine glasses, and I hardly ever drink wine. I would probably use them decoratively. And the mouse knife would make a perfect gift for someone I know… I’m trying to resist and hope that I might be able to buy a single sine glass and the knife on sale from their ship at a later time.
