Subscriber Survey: What Spoiler Item Surprised You?

I would say the Winter BOS in general had some of my favorite items…Dylanex necklace, Dagne Dover card case, and candle. A couple other of my favorite items were probably not spoilers but I love the Veneffect lip product from Beautyfix and a chocolate mint lip product from Love Goodly.

Fun topic! I was super skeptical about the Breathe Deeply spray in the May ’16 popsugar box, but ended up loving it. Who knew?

I love the Kendra Scott earrings in the Pop Sugar box! WOW!

The SeaRx microdermabrasion scrub from Birchbox. I hate the sensation of scrubs or anything with beads. The only reason I didn’t swap the sample was because I thought it was too small to bother! I decided to try it in a low-risk area — my upper arms — and I was really surprised with not just how it smoothed rough patches, but the creamy formula really helped soothe the skin & kept it very moisturized the rest of the day! I bought the full size.

My first Stella McCartney bag from the first Avenue A Adidas box. It was a “thank you for subscribing” gift, I believe. I still use it and still get compliments when I carry it.

An oldie but a goodie…I LOOOOOVED the Model Co lipstick/lipgloss duos that came in a past Popsugar box (my first PS box actually). I loved them so much I ordered them from Model Co and payed an unGodly amount in shipping to get them to Alaska. But I loved those so much.

Other items I really loved: Oyin hair conditioner I got in a Hemp box…holy moly was this stuff amazing. I loved it…but it was SO expensive to buy. I never did but I daydream about that conditioner to this day.

Oh a Tea brand shirt that was the spoiler for a children’s subscription that went under. I loved that little shirt and went on to use the discount. Now I buy from the website about once a year (after christmas sale!) The brand is great…very well made clothes that have lasted. My daughter loves her Tea brand clothes too. I am thankful I got introduced to the brand because I wouldn’t have otherwise (I don’t often buy namebrand clothes for my kiddos).

Mine would be the Dr Jart bb cream and the beauty blender. I have always used bare minerals powder foundation. Liquid foundation has never worked for me and I never understood the hype about the blenders. Omg the bb cream turned out to be the exact color match for my face and when applied with the blender my face is flawless and looked so natural! Never have had a break out using the bb cream and my face has not dried out. Love these two products

My surprise spoiler would be the Tribe Alive bag in the Spring Box of Style 2017. I thought it was nice in the previews, but I expected it to stain easily, get dirty, and not look great. It is my favorite now! It is still white with no stains and I love the contrast on it. Again, I thought from the pics that it was nice but I never imagined how much I would like it in real life! I still can’t believe the value of it.

Mine biggest one has to be the PS March 2016 tassel necklace that everyone hates. I switched it to a shorter silver chain and love it. I almost threw it out, but I’m glad I experimented. The beachy colours are great for this time of year.

I was disappointed that so much of the value of the last OuiPlease box was in the Filorga cream, but having just finished using it all up, I will miss it.

The Adornmonde Earrings from Box of Style. I thought they might be heavy and lay awkwardly, but they’re a perfect weight and actually hang/move perfectly.

the globein baskets… i always think they’re gonna be useless, but i have so many ways to use them!

My biggest surprise was the Pretty Peaushun skin tight body lotion from a LE Popsugar if I remember correctly. Love it, and have purchased several since.

The crossbody black and white bag from Limited Box of Popsugar Must Have was my gift to me – made me reach for my wallet. Recently, despite my numerous subs when I saw the post on Juice Moisturizer from
beauty Fix – I went for it. Thanks for keeping us informed 😘

Josh Rosebrook Shampoo from Beauty Heroes, I was not at all excited, but I love it and bought several more. Osmia Lip Doctor and Night oil are also pleasant surprises!

I have to go back to my first Pop Sugar box that I ordered because of the watch spoiler. I still love that watch. It was March or April last year?

It’s hard for me to keep track of what was the spoiler item vs any other box item, but several of the hair products have been really big for me – the marrakesh oil, R+Co oil, Dessange serum, and the Briogeo mask. I have hair that does pretty well without any extra boosts, and isn’t dry or oily. It’s also really short, so products that say to avoid the roots…well, if it’s on my hair, it’s already on my roots. I wasnt excited about amy of these items fod that reason. But these products have all been great and I use them all frequently. The oils and serum do better x1000 for me if I straighten my hair after using them – I think the heat helps spread it better. I have traded for more of a couple, and would definitely pay full price for the Dessange.
I definitely agree on that Dylanex necklace. I was so bummed that so much of the box value was THAT, but it was perfect through the holidays with an LBD!

I really thought the spoiler’s from the Globe In Wine Glasses were really nice to see and actually got me anxious to purchase the box.

My favorite is the Nuxe Shimmering oil. My pasty white legs drink that stuff up and I’m in LOVE with the product. I thought it wouldn’t work on my skin color but it adds just the right amount of oil and shimmer. I’ve been able to swap for a few of the large bottles at a great deal too. Since it’s for my legs, I don’t mind if it’s been sampled or expired. Love my Nuxe Shimmering Oil.

The Glov on-the-go makeup remover glove from the Allure Beauty Thrills box. I didn’t think I would like it but I love it! I use it twice a day and will buy another soon.

Subscription box items are SUCH great value that we’re spoiled with the cost vs value ratio. I know I really love something when I’m willing to pay “full price” for it. I’ve done this with only two sub items (both I wasn’t expecting much from but ended up loving). 1. The Osima Lip Doctor lip balm from Beauty Heroes (I bought 3 more from them so I’ll always have one in every purse/pocket) and 2. The BKR bottle from BOS. I purchased one from the BKR site and swapped for one. I know it’s just a water bottle but gosh they’re pretty :p

Caeden ear phones. Wasn’t sure about white. They seemed so feminine. Turns out I love white AND rose gold. My first rose gold item.
