Pittsburgh Steelers Fanchest Box Review – April 2017

Fanchest is a one-time purchase service that sends team gear from your favorite team. They currently have boxes for the Steelers, Patriots, Giants, Jets, Panthers, Cowboys, and Seahawks for the NFL.

This was sent for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

The Subscription Box: Fanchest

The Cost: $59 for a standard chest. They also offer more expensive limited edition chests for specific players which contain autographed memorabilia. Shipping is free over $50

The Products: A variety of officially licensed team gear and the chance to win VIP fan experiences.

Ships to: US

The chests are always filled with officially licensed items – and sometimes a few exclusives!

’47 Steelers Logo Shirt – Retail $38

’47 is one of my favorite brands when it comes to NHL merchandise – naturally, this extends to other sports as well! This Steelers shirt is simple and classic – and I like that the graphic is a little distressed to give it that vintage look.

Steelers Fleece Throw – Value $18 on Amazon

This fleece throw is very similar to my new Penguins fleece blanket from Fanchest – which is a good thing!

Like the other fleece blanket, this measures 50×60 and is cozy. It’s light but warm, perfect for Spring and Fall – it will definitely be nicely timed with the beginning of the NFL season.

Steelers Frosted Glass Mug – Value $9.95 on Fans Edge

Again, like the Penguins chest, we received another heavy-duty frosted glass mug.

These are really high-quality 16oz glasses – perfect for game day.

Steelers Mini-Flashlight – Value $5-10?

This is a mini LED flashlight that sports the Steelers’ colors and logo – perfect for your glove box.

Steelers Magnetic Chip Clip – Value $5

This metal clip sports a 1-inch Steelers logo.

It’s also a magnet – so you can stick it on the fridge.

Steelers Luggage Tag – Value $5?

The last item in the box is a luggage tag.

It’s your basic luggage tag with the team logo.

Verdict: Like the recent Penguins Fanchest, I was a big fan of all of the bigger items of the box – the shirt, blanket, and glass – the other items are fine, and even everyday usable, but they didn’t pack a wow-factor. Overall, I liked this delivery more than the original Steelers Fanchest from December!

What did you think of the Steelers Spring 2017 Fanchest?

  1. I was excited about this box my husband is a big fan. I started to get it but the shirt is one size too small. Hope they will have options for bigger size shirt later. He would have loved it.

  2. Go Steelers! I don’t see this as unique items. I would rather have sub box only items.
