Namaslay sends a card listing the theme for the box and a list of the items included. The theme for April is Spring Fresh Start.

Namaslay also includes a card with a “Yoga Pose of the Month” with a recipe on the other side. The recipe this month is Vegetable Pulao. I love Indian food and this is a simple recipe so I’m going to give it a try. There are lots of vegetables and yummy spices such as cardamom, turmeric, and cumin in this rice dish.

New Moon Tea Co. Mayan Coco - Listed Value $5.96 USD ($8.00 CAD)

This coco is made with “raw cocoa, Himalayan sea salt, chili pepper, and coconut sugar” which is right up my alley. Using the bag to make the coco isn’t a great idea – it was a mess and cumbersome. I wonder if the bag also lessened the flavor of the coco which was not very chocolatey. I could taste the salt and it wasn’t overly sweet but the pepper and cocoa really needed to increase here for a $6.00 packet. This isn’t available on the New Moon Tea Co. website right now so I went with the Namaslay stated price.

Kewaza Energy Balls in Dark Chocolate Coconut - Value $2.50

I love the simple ingredients in these energy balls – Honey, Cocoa Powder, Cocoa Nibs, Coconut Oil, Shredded Coconut, Protein, Goji Berries, Flax Seed, Maca Powder but I’m not in love with the flavor of these. We like strong chocolate in this house and don’t mind a little of the bitterness that comes with it but this product is heavy on the bitterness. I couldn’t taste the coconut at all. None of my family liked this product much.

Verdant Botanicals Sweet Dreams Roll On - Value $12.00

I love this super portable aromatherapy roll-ons! They are great for throwing in your purse to freshen up or to use in the car when someone is feeling nauseous. This roll has a mix of lavender, chamomile, and vanilla essential oils which smell great and are relaxing scents.

Namaslay Rose Quartz Amazonite Bracelet - Listed Value $19.37 ($26.00CAD)

“Rose quartz teaches us to enjoy life, to see the world through the eyes of a child and Amazonite creates atmosphere of calmness and constancy.” This is a very pretty yoga inspired bracelet. Since this was either made or commissioned by Namaslay, I couldn’t find an exact copy online but I found a similar bracelet here on Etsy.

AnitaKo Organics Orange Organic Lip Balm - Value $5.00

This all natural lip balm is made from red palm oil, stevia leaf extract, sweet orange essential oil, vitamin e, organic shea butter, organic soy butter, organic coconut oil, and beeswax. It has a great orange scent and it feels great on my lips. It’s still dry enough here in Ohio that I need this lip balm.

Verdant Botanicals Rose Sandalwood Toner/Face Mist - Value $20.00

I don’t think I’ve received a toner in a box before. This does contain witch hazel so I can see using it as a toner which I need. Unfortunately, the rose scent in this toner is too strong for me, especially when sprayed on the face.

Verdict: Overall I was happy with my first month of Namaslay. A couple items didn’t really work for me but I think the toner will make a great gift. It’s unfortunate that the toner was the most expensive item but I like that everything is curated for a more natural lifestyle. Plus, I need monthly support to keep up my meditation and yoga practices. I also appreciate the inclusion of a yoga pose for me to focus on this month and a new recipe to try. This month’s box contained $64.83 USD worth of products for about $44.00 dollars ($37.21 for the box plus $6.67 shipping). The value is good for this type of lifestyle box.

What do you think of Namaslay this month?
