MINTD Box Subscription Review + Coupon Code – April 2017

MINTD Box is a luxury beauty box from the UK that ships worldwide! You can get the box monthly or bimonthly, and each box includes 4-5 full size or deluxe size beauty products.

The packaging is beautiful, but I was disappointed to see no info card in the box!

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The Subscription Box: MINTD Box

The Cost: £65.00 (About $83 USD)

The Products: MINTD Box is a luxury monthly/bi-monthly beauty box which offers 4-5 full/deluxe sized beauty products from the most innovative and respected premium brands.

Ships to: Worldwide!

Apa Beauty Gentle Lip Exfoliator & Conditioner – Value $18

This lip scrub is made with sweet almond seed meal and orange peel oil, so it smells amazing! It also did a great job of exfoliating my lips and leaving them moisturized.

Sunday Riley Martian Mattifying Melting Water-Gel Toner – 50 ml Value $21

Sunday Riley is a luxe beauty brand that doesn’t show up in subscription boxes often, so I’m almost always excited to see it. Except in this case! (I’ve sampled this before thanks to the Draper James Birchbox Limited Edition Box, and I wasn’t impressed.)

It’s a toner gel that’s designed to absorb oil (shine), and minimize the appearance of pores.

Unfortunately for me, this didn’t really mattify my skin. I couldn’t notice a difference in shine after using it. (It looks like the reviews on this product are mixed, too. So, it may work for you, but it didn’t work for me!)

Potion London The Beauty Formula – Value $32

This vitamin formula is designed to promote healthy hair, skin, and nails.

I wish the tablets were coated in something (I hate the smell of vitamins), but otherwise, these are easy enough to take!

Skyn Iceland Brightening Eye Serum – FULL SIZE! Value $35

This eye serum is designed to help immediately with de-puffing, line-smoothing, eye-brightening while providing targeted wrinkle repair, intense hydration, and improved elasticity over time.

It’s a thick gel, that is super refreshing but definitely takes a while to absorb. I’d recommend using this for nighttime only.

Rosalena Beauty & The Beast Face Oil – Value $53

This serum is multi-use – you can use it as both a daytime or nighttime moisturizer, and it provides shine-free hydration.

I absolutely love the scent of this natural serum! It’s a lightweight formula, too.

Verdict: This box has a value of about $159. I paid about $83, so I’m happy with that value for full sized, luxe beauty items. I’m also very impressed with the brands included. This box had a good mix of brands I know and love, and new-to-me brands!

  1. Luna, thanks for the recommendations on the other boxes. I love trying new things, especially luxe brands but I agree with the other comment…I’m having a really hard time getting through all the products I currently have. What do people do when you try a product and don’t like it? It seems so wasteful to throw so much away. But with the stash of stuff I have it seems crazy to keep using something I don’t LOVE.

    • Agree! I keep telling myself to use my best/favorite products first! I’m also trying to get better about only buying things I will love or really, really want. This has also led me to try to stop purchases of sample size items. I can’t keep them all organized and I never seem to get around to using them!

  2. Great luxe box. Love Skyn Iceland and just spent too much money on their website… lol

  3. This box looks lovely! I don’t go through a ton of skincare in value summer. Maybe a sub I’d be interested in come fall. I need to work down my current inventory. I’ll definitely keep my eyes on this box. Thanks for adding it to the reviews!

  4. I believe the value on the Sunday Riley is incorrect.

    • Oops! Thank you! I’ll fix that now and update the verdict value as well.

      • Happy to help ☺️ I love this box. It’s my first month and it is pricey, but you get quality products and the sizes are full or deluxe.

      • My first month, too! I’m definitely impressed! 🙂

      • Hi Liz, I’m glad to see you’re reviewing this box! I thought all of my mentions on the comments suggesting this should be reviewed were falling on deaf ears the past few months! Ha! Since you liked this box, you’ll want to check out Maple Blume and Look Fantastic. These are some other ones like Mintd (different focus of beauty products, but around the same price range & includes all full sized products) that I’ve mentioned a few times already that I think some of MSA’s readers would like. 🙂

      • @Luna, MSA already reviews LookFantastic

      • Thanks Candice! 🙂 I meant to say Look Incredible. I’m ALWAYS getting those two mixed up. Ha ha! 😀

      • Oh! And, another newish beauty box I’ve mentioned a few times too that is in the same realm as those mentioned above is Bare Element. It’s also a pricey beauty sub, and they only include full-sized items. They focus on green beauty, but mostly include brands that most people haven’t heard of before, so the personal value may not be there for some at the box’s price point. I love discovering & trying new brands, so I’ve been really enjoying it. 🙂 (but, Maple Blume is now in my top 3 favorite beauty subs, and Look Incredible is like Boxycharm, but with more mainstream brands… like you’d find in a Sephora to Barney’s…. and all full-sized!) Okay, I’ll try to stop making these boxes “happen” on MSA. Ha! Emphasis on “try”. 🙂

      • Luna, I researched all these boxes because I saw you mentioning them in posts! All very intriguing to me but I’m having trouble pulling the trigger on any because I’m already on product overload and trying to be somewhat restrained for $$… I would love to hear how you are able to use up all the beauty products you seem to get – as well as your favorites. Also, you should send pictures of these boxes when you get them and maybe Liz would at least post as spoilers??
