Stasher Plastic-Free Silicone Resealable Bag in Slate – Value $11.99
This month’s household item is a silicone replacement for plastic Ziploc bags! It’s a completely silicone resealable bag.
It’s BPA and BPS free, safe to microwave, freeze, refrigerate, cooking, and you can clean it by popping it on the top rack of your dishwasher!
I love this bag. It’s such a great idea and I could totally use it to cut down on my Ziploc bag usage. The quality feels fantastic too.
My only gripe is that the seal doesn’t go all the way across so it’s a little awkward to put some things in, and I don’t think you could fit a whole sandwich in the bag in one piece because of the width of the opening. That being said, this seal is serious business. It’s definitely a solid, secure seal that doesn’t leave me worried at all about leaks!
Verdict: Honestly, I can tell this is one of my Mighty Fix deliveries that I will get a lot of use from. I use baggies all the time and I’m glad to incorporate this green and reusable alternative. It feels high quality and functions fantastically. The value is just over the cost of the box, but I wouldn’t have found this item without Mighty Fix and I’m really glad to discover and have this.
What do you think about Mighty Fix? What did you get for March?
Ooh! I have some plastic re-usable bags that I DON’T like because they are hard to wash, but this one looks great! I hope I get this soon!
Argh, we got some reusable sandwich bags but they’re completely opaque and don’t look like what you got. Ours say they are dishwasher safe, which is a plus. But overall, I’m not excited – I have some Rubbermaid stuff (my set on Amazon was like $20 total) that I use for this type of job so this month’s item was completely useless for us.
Last month, I got what I think are dish towels but they are super small. The design is cute (stripes) and the fabric is good but they’re too small to actually be practical for anything much (they get dirty quicker than an ordinary dish towel b/c they have less surface area and so two spill wipe-ups and they are DONE until after being laundered).
Here’s hoping that next month they knock it out of the park. Feeling underwhelmed so far.
