Medusa's Makeup Blush in Georgia Peach - Value $12

Medusa's Makeup Eye Dust in Helter Skelter - Value $7

This inky blue shimmer is absolutely stunning! It has excellent shimmer, and it catches the light beautifully.

Medusa's Makeup Eyeliner Brush - Value $9

Medusas-Makeup-April-2017-0015

This eyeliner brush is made with synthetic, vegan bristles. (One thing to note - I could only find this available on their site as part of a 4-piece set for $18, so the $9 retail value comes from their included card.)

Medusa's Makeup Eyeliner Seal - Value $8

Medusas-Makeup-April-2017-0009

This product is pretty amazing. Mix equal parts of it with any loose eye shadow to create a liquid liner.

Medusas-Makeup-April-2017-0010

It worked really well for me. One thing to note, though, the ingredients on the label do not match up with the ingredients on the Medusa's Makeup site. (The bottle lists parabens in the formula.)

Verdict: This box has a value of $36. I think that's fantastic for a $15.95 beauty box that sends full-size vegan beauty products with free shipping. This is a great way to try out Medusa's Make-Up at a deep discount. Sometimes this subscription sends colors that are way out of my comfort zone, but this month was 100% success for me!

I’m thinking of subscribing. If I’m understanding correctly you get to see what you are getting early enough that you cancel if you don’t like it? That would be FANTASTIC if that were true!

I would LOVE to have and try out the liner seal also!!!

I had this box for three months. It’s not that the products weren’t nice, or a great value. It’s just that there are only so many loose glitter products I need or want, and there just isn’t enough variety here. That was my fear when I first signed up. I liked supporting an indie, cruelty-free makeup company, but when I looked at their site, I thought this would have its limits, and it did. I did get some beautiful products that I still enjoy using, and would continue to shop the site occasionally, but as a monthly sub, I just stopped being excited for it to arrive.

This is a great sub to have if you are building your collection. I have all the solid shadows, all the shimmery eye dusts and some of the mattes. Also a small grouping of glitters. It is real easy to cancel sub and restart sub. I wait for each review because if there is an item I want I then order the sub box at $16 rather than buy one item at $8 with $5 shipping. So it’s like three extra items for a dollar each and then I gift those extras if I don’t want them as a backup.

This looks like a great box! If I was a bit younger and able to wear more bold colors I would be all over this subscription!

When I first discovered this company ten years or so ago, it was in Gothic Beauty Magazine which I believe was their target group at that time. They have since increased their target group.

There is never an age limit when it comes to color or being bold. As the card I got for my 50th birthday said “old is the new young”.

I am 53 and the colors don’t bother me because I can play a little bit with them. What bothers me is the shimmer which makes my lines more visible and I look even older. I wish the box curators would have the aging women in mind as well and add some more matt products in their box so anyone would be able to try new things ;o)

I will be 40 in 6 months and I am a firm believer in wearing bold colors. I can’t see myself changing anytime soon…

The eyeliner seal was the first product i discovered from them at their shop in Hotspings….. it lasted me like 4 years 😂NNEEEEDDDD more!! Anybody know if ill get this box?

Geena

Wait, WHERE is their shop?!?!

Geena

You don’t mean Hot Springs, AR do you?

Lola

With shipping it comes to $13 and maybe tax depending on where you live. Might as well spend $3 more and get three more products.

Bonnie

You can also order products on their website, not just the box, so if you want the seal but not the box, you can buy them.

Lola

If you buy this month you should get this month.

Marion

I’d love to try the eyeliner seal as well!

Ooooh, I’ve been wanting to try a product like the eyeliner seal! I have several colors of their eye dusts (and glitters; it’ll be interesting to see how it works with them). Helter Skelter was one of the very first eye dusts I bought, and I love it.

In the past the eyeliner seal works well with other pigments as well. I have used it with MAC pigments with great results.
