The Summer 2017 Luxe Provence box is available for pre-order now! And we have an update on a spoiler for the box. (Thanks for the heads up, Caroline!)  Our first spoilers were:

This summer, prepare to journey into Provence's most chic, concept stores and charming artisan ateliers from sophisticated Aix-en-Provence... to the sublime villages of the Var.

Our V8 Luxe Provence Box features a haute de gamme summer collection of exclusively designed lifestyle and home items: including handpainted stoneware created exclusively for this curation signed by Salernes artisan, AnneLaure Humblot. Watch this video to learn more about the artist and her whimsical creations. Each piece is a unique work of art and will be signed by the artist.

Our second exciting heirloom piece was chosen with an eye towards distinctive slow-living French design and handcrafted artisanal quality. We are pleased to feature newly released line of luxury bags by architect and designer, Agnés Krier of Ouvrage, a gallery boutique in Aix run together with her architect husband, Sebastien (retail value alone of 180 euros). We cannot wait to share the details soon.

We now have more information on the Ouvrage luxury bags:

These pieces of functional art are currently being handwoven by Aixoise architect and designer, Agnés Krier of Ouvrage, and are designed exclusively “sur mesure” for this curation. Each bag retails for 180 euros/$190 USD here in Aix. We are very pleased to feature this item in this summer curation.

Ooh, they were sold-out but it looks they just added a few more boxes for sale on the website for the USA. Just was able to order!

It says it’s sold out already.. Bummed

Been eyeing this particular box, but just checked and the website shows the box sale price as $206, not $195. What’s going on? With the $25 shipping fee, then total will be $231 which basically puts it further out of my comfort range.

They set aside a certain amount of boxes for each country. It looks like the boxes for the U.S. are sold out so the first thing you see is the price to ship to France in U.S. dollars.

It looks like shipping is $25 extra, right? (I just want to make sure before I pull the trigger.)
You should all go to Instagram and check out the artist’s account @agnessweaver
There is also a great picture of the bags on the @luxeprovence account.
Initially, I was thinking of the wood bracelet bag but after looking at the large single wooden handle, I’m going to get that one. So fun to find such talented artists!

Thanks, Melissa! I’d tried to find the artist’s Instagram before but I left out one “s” so it didn’t work. She’s got some great photos on there, you’re right. For anyone wanting to see all the colors, if you scroll down to the photo with “vente ephemere” across the top you can see all of the color options woven on of her pillows. I think a rose bag with wooden bracelet handles would be freaking gorgeous.

I bit the bullet and pre-ordered this box. I’m a bit of a sucker for unique art and the handbag looks pretty awesome. I don’t have an annual sub so I can’t choose my bag, but I honestly don’t know if I would choose the comfort but less unique leather strap or the likely more uncomfortable but quirky wooden strap. But at least I’ll know I’ll be happy either way. This is my first LP box and I’m really looking forward to it!

I’m not an annual member either, but I was still able to fill out the form and submit it. Give it a try just in case they accept our selections!

Will do! I actually missed the link to the form on here somehow. Thanks for the suggestion!

I’m glad that I saw this here because I didn’t receive an email letting me know I could choose.

Is it me or is this bag insanely cool? I love the wood handles! So unique.
This might be my mother’s day present ;D
What do people think of this sub?

I signed up for an annual..ending with their winter box. This sub can be Incredible or just disappointment. I discovered some great new items I love, however..sometimes…ie: my “thank you” gift for subbing a year was ( 2) 50cent sized soaps just tossed in, I received a broken item but due to the difficulty of any return did not even mention it, I now own a perfume I would have never found on my own, and a hand soap that actually makes me happy (yes, a hand soap!) If you have the extra cash it can be a fun sub, but if you are making it your Extra Special One Thing? Please go over all of the reviews on the box here-the language on their site can make a painted rock from camp sound Delightful!

The strap options are a no brainer. How can having a wood handle on you wrist, in your hands or hanging on your shoulder be comfortable for more than a minute? The design on the plate shown above is just not by cup of tea.

Melissa

Ann, I know what you mean about the comfort with the wood handles but it is so flippin’ cool!
Maybe you can put your arm through the handle?
Maybe someone from the sub could tell us what others find with the bag. Also, is it possible to see the rose one? This company doesn’t appear to have a website. I’d like to see more of their products.

Okay, this settles it. I’m putting this sub on my wish list. I love that bag! Unfortunately, I don’t have the funds at this time, but I will be saving for the sub. 🙂

Right, this is my dream box. I’ve started tucking away $20 in cash every time I grocery shop for an end of summer splurge!! I want to drool over a picture of the Rose color with wood handles.
