The Crew box was simple: two shirts, one short and one long, from Gilded Age!

Each shipment includes an information card. On the front, you find information about the items in the box, along with information about the brands/companies.

The reverse side always has a tip to go along with the theme. This month includes info on building a minimally minded wardrobe.

Gilded Age Long Sweatshirt – Value $70 in the store

Both shirts were very high-quality and well made.

This was heavier but very breathable – and I love the color!

If you’re thinking of getting this box – please note that these shirts run small! You’ll absolutely need to size up – which means my normal size didn’t fit :(.

Gilded Age Tee – Value 430 in the store

The tee has a nice soft feel – and is also very breathable – but suffers from the same sizing issues as the sweatshirt.

Both are very comfortable and well-made, but poor fitting.

Verdict: This box would be a homerun if you got the correct size, but with mine being too small without room to go up a size, I’m pretty disappointed because I was so excited to try them on! The quality and value are there, but size UP!

  1. Sizing is fine, I wear large shirts, the large fit fine, they are a tailored/non American fit. this box may be one of the best deals, if you go to gilded age web site, shirt and sweatshirt are around $200 retail. The dye on the sweatshirt is beautiful and the tshirt is nice to the touch

  2. “If you’re thinking of getting this box – please note that these shirts run small! You’ll absolutely need to size up – which means my normal size didn’t fit :(.”

“Both are very comfortable and well-made, but poor fitting.”

I’ll have to disagree with both of those statements. They just fit (legitimately) slim. I ordered these in the same size I wear all my other clothes and they fit me fantastically. Don’t confuse running slim and not fitting you with being poorly fitted and running small across the board.

I’d likely rephrase that to “”If you’re thinking of getting this box – please note that these shirts run slim! You’ll absolutely need to size up if you don’t wear slim clothing – which means my normal size didn’t fit :(.” and “Both are very comfortable and well-made, but slim fitting.”

  3. I ordered for my husband and mistakenly ordered a size bigger and they fit perfectly! They are both nice cotton and very wearable. The sweatshirt though has a moth ball smell to it that I couldn’t even get out with washing :(. Trying Febreeze next.
