Wantable Style Edit has been a major player in the subscription styling service market for over a year now, and they just started offering plus sizes at the end of July. I was thrilled to get the chance to try them out! Wantable Style Edit is one of several different subscription boxes offered by Wantable, including Wantable Intimates, Accessories, Fitness, and Makeup.

When I signed up for this service, I took a pretty lengthy quiz in which I indicated my price, size and style preferences. Wantable uses a great model of indicating what you love, what you like and what you dislike, for all their subscriptions! They send you more of what you love, and never what you dislike. I can go back and change my preferences at any time.

Below my preferences is a note from my stylist, Kate. It explains why she chose the items she picked for me.

This is the invoice of the items they sent me this month. On the right, it shows my cost to keep each item. The total comes to $456.50. If I keep everything, I get 20% off, plus I get my $20 styling fee deducted. That brings the total down to $345.20 for a discount of $111.30. That's a deep discount!

Deep V-Neck Top by Melissa McCarthy for Seven7 - Cost to Keep $84

For a black shirt, I don't really feel like this is very flattering on me. I like the rayon blend material, but I think it might just be too much draping. It's okay, but I don't love it.

Coated Skirt by Melissa McCarthy for Seven7 - Cost to Keep $68 (on sale from $98!)

This skirt is super cool! It's a cotton blend, but it has a coating on it that gives it a leather look. I really like the cut and the length, but it's a little big on me. I think I might try to exchange it for a size down.

Stripe Cardigan by Umgee - Cost to Keep $59

This cardigan is super warm and cozy! It's a cotton blend, and I like the mix of neutrals. I don't love the pattern, though, and I don't think it's particularly flattering.

Plaid Button Up Tunic by Emerald - Cost to Keep $49

I love a cozy flannel top as much as the next person, but this one is just too long. Isn't it? Is it supposed to be a dress? It says tunic on the info sheet. Right?

Black Skinny Jean by Kensie - Cost to Keep $78

These jeans are SO BLACK. I love that! I don't want any light to escape the surface of my legs. I also tend to love Kensie jeans because they have the perfect mix of cotton, poly, and spandex. I am not really in the market for black jeans right now, but these are pretty awesome.

Woven Mix Henley by Lucky - Cost to Keep $59.50

I love this top! I like the way it looks on me, I like the neckline, and I love the color and pattern. The printed section down the front is a crisp cotton, and the rest of it a semi-sheer knit. This is perfect for February and will make a nice transition piece into spring.

Blouson Dress by Gilli - Cost to Keep $59

This dress is super easy and pretty, and I like the way it looks on me. It's a poly blend with little purple flowers, and it feels great. I think this one's a win!

Verdict: I am really loving my Wantable Style Edit! I am so happy they sent seven items again this month! Wantable Style is fast becoming one of my favorite boxes all month. This month I think I have found three new pieces I totally love, but most everything was so great I'm still undecided about a few things. I love the mix of items Wantable always sends - at least a couple of things I know I will love, plus several that I just don't know until I try them on. It's so fun!

What do you think of Wantable Style Edit? What did you receive in your box this month?

My favorite item on you is that pink top. It’s stunning on you!

Close seconds are the flannel shirt (but since you don’t love you should pass), the jeans (I know you don’t need another pair now…but they’re awesome) and the floral dress.

Thanks for these reviews. It is so affirming to have a plus size woman modeling clothes. You are beautiful.

Thank you Anna.

The blouson dress looks beautiful on you! The cut is so flattering and the colors work great with your skin and hair.

I think the black top is too big on you, but I also think it’s kind of too long in design. I had it in my Wish List but then took it out, because it showed a lot of cleavage on some people! I also had those jeans on my list, but took them off because I also don’t need any more black pants. I agree with you on the sweater – your photo shows it a lot better than the website. Love the dress on you, it fits perfect and you look happy in it! Also like the pink top. On me, the plaid top would be a tunic, but on you it could be a dress with a belt and leggings!

Anna love to read your reviews. I love the voting, makes me feel like I am shopping with you. Thank you for having the courage as a plus size to model, you rock!

I really like the flannel on you. Yes, it’s a bit long, but it’s so your colors and looks really pretty on you. I like the black skinny jeans, and that floral dress is a great fit, length, and look for you.

The rest…you can do better, especially with all the clothing subs you have. Life’s too short to wear stuff that you don’t love.

Yea!!! Finally got to vote again.

That dress looks fabulous on you. When I can find a pair of jeans that fit and look good, grab them. In order to get the discount do you have to take all items or do you still get 20% off on what you keep?

Love your reviews! It’s fun to vote and see if I agree with others. There are some items that I like on you but find the price outrageous, but that’s just me being frugal. I especially love the pink henley.

Would you ever consider putting your pictures on the Wantable Stream? I really like some of your items and when people tag the clothing on the stream you can add it to your wish list. Also there aren’t many plus sized people on there.

That Gilli dress is great! I love Gilli dresses… Some of my favorites to get in subscription boxes like Golden Tote and Stitch Fix.

Love love love that dress on you! That gets my vote! I actually really like the draping of the first item – the black top. But the cuffs…what were they thinking??? The rest of it, to me, was meh….very expensive basics that can be had elsewhere much cheaper. Love your reviews as always!

Are dresses and jumpsuits really in the same category in the survey? Eek. I wear dresses a couple of times a week but I would never, ever wear a jumpsuit. (Do they ever even send jumpsuits?)

I don’t know why I am thinking about signing up, though. I went from only having about 6 things that fit at the beginning of last year to having enough clothes to not repeat anything but individual pairs of slacks for an entire month. I need to stop buying clothes.

You can add styling notes that say “No Jumpsuits,” or whatever you want.

Anna, I love yOur reviews! One my favorites to read! While I would love to subscribe, it’s just not in my budget at the moment. But it’s still very nice to see your experience! Thanks!
