Sorry to hear your box was terrible. I used to really enjoy their mystery boxes until they became so repetitive. One of the last straws was counting an eyeliner sharpener as one of the products (it was a Buxom liner sharpener which they didnt even include)…and full size mascaras became sample sized, etc. I wonder what’s happened to BM, they havent had new palettes in a long time.

I guess I just have to suck it up and just live with my choices. My pop of color lip oil was rancid.. gross😠
And the sample sizes are ridiculous. I would send it back but I sampled or tested the products and it’s not worth the hassle for me. I did kindly email them to let them know about the lip oil..

Last mystery box was a big disappointment eyeshadow were dull colors and the cases had some sticky residue on them that wouldn’t come off why don’t they ever include face powders for which they are known for

Me too. I would have grabbed this at the usual mystery bag price, but not for $55. There are a few items I had wanted to try and there’s actually a nice mix rather than the usual lip gloss and eyeliner stash. Maybe they will learn from this, as it didn’t sell out quickly like they used to.

I’m not impressed with this mystery bag either. Though, if it were 25 bucks I would get it. But not for 55, especially since I know they are just clearing old stock.
Also, I’m still waiting for them to send me my correct shade of foundation after waiting for weeks. They had a big mess up with the sku#’s since they launched the new shades at the end of Jan and haven’t corrected it completely. So frustrating!

Ohhh…this actually looks like a great box…but 4 brushes 🤔 i have the soft focus and love it, but dont need more lip liner and shadow brushes 😐😐😐….since 2 products are sample size, and the balm and eyeliner are repeats…. i think i can convince myself to sit it out….unless a steep discount pops up 🙄🙄

Actually, theres a chance the buxom bronzer in tahiti is also travel sized, since it was made for a promo set 😣

Wow, I’ve been soooo disappointed by much cheaper Bare Minerals mystery bags than this. The last time I got sucked in I received a rancid lip oil. It was disgusting. I called the company for a replacement and the replacement was also rancid. I only buy Bare Minerals if I see it at Marshall’s now.

Won’t do it! This is an EASY pass for me because of the price increase! Lower the price, Bareminerals, and I will definitely buy!

I’ve been fighting myself on this one for a few hours now. But my reasoning is for their price I could go online and buy something I really know I would like. Instead if getting something I might or might not like. Let’s just see if I stay strong 😆

For me it’s skincare, but I totally agree with you. Being addicted to skincare is NOT a problem (but I know others would object so to that I say… thank goodness that’s the only “problem” I have), so I make no apologies for it. 🙂

Ooh, major FOMO for this one for some reason! :/

Easy pass. Seems they jacked up the price by $20…plus I have a bin full of BM products from past boxes up for swap. I didn’t want them…and it seems neither does anyone else…

Last time I got 4 brown eyeliners. That was my end with their mystery boxes.

I’ve been buying their mystery bags for years, but agree that’s too much without any spoilers. If someone buys this, please post the product list!

I bought these in the past and honestly I’m no longer impressed with their products. I’ve had problems with their products expiring. I bought several 5 in 1 shadows I the store and they expired within a month. Seriously? The last mystery box I got I received items set at or very near expiring. It’s a clean out of old lines as I think they don’t see the turnover of products they use to. I just gave a ton of BM powder, lipsticks, eyeliners and shadows away. There are so many superior product brands out there.

Pass on this one. It’s just a little too pricey for a mystery box. But I’ve gotten a few in the past and haven’t been disappointed. I don’t care that they’re clearing out old stock. I always end up with at least half I really like, and give the other stuff to my friends.
But can we point out something a little funny? In the pic for the free gifts, they spelled exhilarate wrong 😶

I bought a few of these in the past but stopped because it seems they only send out eyeshadow that are super sparkly and a lot of repeat items.

I bought these before, and it sounded like a really great deal. I even had a birthday code for a free gift. I was HORRIBLY disappointed! Eye liners… again… cosmetic bag looked horrible, just bad colors. I will never be tempted into any of these again.

I too can’t justify $55 for a mystery box. I have purchased a couple in the past at the $35 price point and managed to keep/swap enough for it to be worth it, but $55 is more than I’m willing to spend.

It does but wondering if they will actually put in higher quality products like a palette?
Reply
Julie B.
Agree, the only thing that would make this worthwhile is if they put in a large 4 or 8 pan palette.
Tiffany
I agree. $55 is expensive for a mystery box. I don’t like going above $25 or so when I don’t know what I’m getting, even if that means fewer items and lower retail value.

Gabriela
I wonder if it’s going to be worthy it. I mean, they are promising a higher value, but will it be with good / useful stuff?
Reply
Heather
Ya, I was shocked when I saw the price, these are usually $35. And you know the ‘value’ has been grossly inflated to the ‘retail’ price, even though all the items are going to be old stock that’s been clearance priced for a long while!!!
