Honest Diapers Bundle
4.2 overall rating
12 Ratings | 4 Reviews

The Honest Company offers five different “bundle” subscriptions: Essentials (household items), Diapers & Wipes, Health & Wellness (vitamins), Organic Infant Formula + DHA  and Beauty.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

This review is of the Diapers & Wipes Bundle, $79.95 a month, box.

Note from Liz: In late 2016, The Honest Company was in the news about cancellation issues. Phone wait times were reported at up to half an hour in some cases. Honest Company has made some changes in response, and you are now able to cancel bundles online from your Account Settings, or via online chat. (Commenters also let us know that Honest Company has a call-back feature if you want to call but don't want to wait on hold.)

Honest Company Diaper bundles are always huge since they have enough (or more than enough) for a month! Here's what I got this month.

If you're not familiar with this subscription, here are the basics: You always get 6 packs of diapers and 4 packs of wipes each month. For the diapers, you can select your favorite patterns, and Honest will randomly pick for you depending on what's available. You can swap in Overnight Diapers or Pull-Up style diapers for any of the 6 packs. You can even change the size on just some of the diapers, and you can also add on extra products for a 25% discount.

I personally love the add-on discount and it's becoming a bigger part of why I like this subscription as my child gets older. Now that I get diapers delivered to my door, I make far fewer Target runs than I have in the past. Honest add-ons make it really easy to make sure I'm stocked up on other diapering products or even just hand soap and other essentials!

1 packs of Honest Overnight Diapers, size 6 - Regularly $13.95/pack ($0.63/diaper), save 22% with subscription

Honest lets you swap out any of the regular diaper packs in your bundle for Overnights (or Pull-Up style diapers for older kids). We're still having some mixed results with overnight diapers of all brands, so I took my Honest Overnights down to just 1 pack instead of 2 again this month. No matter what diaper I use, we seem to wake up soaked through about half the time.

We're slowly working on getting rid of bottles since my son is approaching two years old, but haven't quite managed to get rid of the "after dinner, before bed" milk yet. Hopefully, we'll continue to make progress there so we can be relatively dry overnight!

BRB, dying of cuteness! I was really excited about the new prints this month, especially the breakfast and space diapers - two of my favorite things and two things I love to share with my toddler. He loves to help me cook eggs and watches Star Trek with us; one of his first words was "space" (which still makes me laugh).

We're going through the weirdest growth spurt right now, so I'm super happy that I can easily get a mix of sizes with this subscription. Some days the size 5 is perfect, some days it seems super small. I think he's in a cycle of gaining weight and then sprouting up in height, so it's like his waist size keeps bouncing around.

I ended up only putting these three prints on my preferences this month so I'd be guaranteed to get a mix of these:

Still dying of cuteness! Look at that egg face!

One thing I like about Honest is they always have some unexpected unisex prints, which makes them fun baby shower gifts, too.

4 pack of Honest Wipes - $18.95 ($4.95 individually)

Honest Wipes are the best! Love the texture, love the fact that they're not super scented, and they're really gentle. We use them on faces lately too thanks to winter colds and runny noses.

Once your kid gets older and is out of the newborn phase of needing a dirty diaper change several times a day, you will end up with an overstock of these. I ended up donating 4 packs last month to a local charity, but I still have plenty on hand. When Honest Company finally lets me swap wipes for literally anything else, I will be first in line!

I also got an add-on this month:

honest-diapers-february-2017-box-detangler

Honest Conditioning Detangler, 4 oz - $5.95 ($4.46 with the add-on discount when you subscribe)

My son inherited my hair: very fine, and very knotty. He got a haircut last week so it's not as bad as it was when I put this add-on in my cart, but he still gets very tangled in the back on the regular. This definitely helped tame his mane this morning, both knots and flyaways.

I was a little disappointed in the size - 4 oz is a small bottle! Competing products look like they normally come in a 10 oz size (like Johnson's Detangler, 10 oz, $6.50 on Amazon). I'm curious to see how long this will last us since we'll probably use a couple sprays every day.

This smells identical to the orange vanilla bubble bath I got last month - we *love* this scent! Once it dries, it's just vaguely slightly sweet, but it smells amazing when you spray it on.

Verdict: For $84.41 this month (bundle price + add-ons), I got $108 worth of products at their regular retail prices, delivered right to my door. My verdict is always the same: Honest is a little more expensive than some other diaper brands, but the quality and convenience are great, and I've really liked all of the add-on products I've tried so far (though the sizes are sometimes small, the products have all been effective). The prints this month are so cute! I'm also really happy that they've taken steps to make it easier to cancel - that gives me hope that someday you will be able to swap out those wipes when you have too many, too. 😉
