Clean-Beauty-Box-January-2017-Booklet3

Each box comes with a booklet detailing the month’s products and prices. Art of Organics’ theme this month was “Gratitude” and all the products were about taking the time to create gratitude rituals within your daily beauty routine.

Clean-Beauty-Box-January-2017-Indie

Indie Lee Vanilla Citrus Body Oil (4 oz.) - Value $36.00

This all-purpose oil made predominantly with jojoba oil can be used for body, hair, and face. It has an intoxicating vanilla orange scent that’s both soothing and refreshing. This oil is suitable for all skin types and I found that just 2-4 drops rubbed between my hands before application went a long way. This oil is best absorbed on damp skin. I found this oil to be very moisturizing and loved the aroma on my skin.

Clean-Beauty-Box-January-2017-Serum

G + L Radiance Effect Serum (0.17 oz.) - Value $39.00

This fast-absorbing serum with a lemongrass scent is made with Camelia seed oil which is extracted from green tea and is said to promote anti-aging. This ancestral oil is purported to be the secret of geisha’s glowing skin. I added this serum to my daily moisturizer and noticed a difference in the appearance of my skin. It felt dewier and brighter.

Clean-Beauty-Box-January-2017-Perfume

Pour Le Monde Together Fragrance (1 oz.) - Listed Value $6

Together is a natural (not synthetic) perfume which has a warm, romantic aroma. The top notes are citrusy, while the vanilla and patchouli base adds a cozy depth. This is a new brand for me and I was excited to discover it.

Clean-Beauty-Box-January-2017-Ritual-Card

Clean-Beauty-Box-January-2017-Ritual-Card2

This month Clean Beauty included a card with five steps to incorporate gratitude into your life. I thought these were great ideas and have been adopting a few of them since receiving the box.

Verdict: This month’s Clean Beauty Box value is $81 which I’m very happy with. I will continue using all the products sent this month down to the last drop and loved the gratitude theme. Clean Beauty’s ingredient conscious choices fit well into my beauty regimen as well. I highly recommend this subscription for anyone who loves high-end skin care products from lesser-known natural brands!

Is January still available?

This month’s box is going to include a mist from the de Mamiel line. I have been dying to try their line but it’s so expensive.

Yay! I’ve been wanting to try anything(!) from this line too! That’s what I love so much about these types of natural beauty boxes… sure, they may be a bit more expensive, but they give us the opportunity to try some of the more luxe green beauty products that are out there…. and most times we get at least one full-sized item too! Although I have noticed that Petit Vour does a pretty good job at providing decent sized samples of some luxe green beauty products too (i.e. Oille, Lil Fox, etc.)

Luna, have you had a chance to use the skin owl eye+ from the November box? If so, what did you think? Caroline Hirons had raved about it last summer, and I have been using it religiously but sometimes I think I tend to use too much… Or has anyone else been using it?

Jackie

Wow. I’ve never heard of this box before but I think I may need to start looking into it. I recently made the switch to cruelty free beauty products and this box looks wonderful. Thanks for the great review!

This has become one of my favorite boxes! While it’s higher priced than some boxes, the value is consistently there, and rarely do they send a product that I won’t use (and on the occasion that they do, someone on the swap site is always eager to snap it up!)

Same. I’ve loved every single product they have included in their box. Had a CS issue they responded very quickly by e-mail and fixed the problem. So many don’t get the customer service aspect right but this box has great products with really good CS on top of it. Highly recommend this box.

I agree on their CS. I had two mishaps… one when I cancelled last summer, and one when I re-subscribed late last year. When I cancelled, they didn’t put it through, so they charged me, and sent me a box. When I let them know about the error, and to ensure my cancellation goes through the following month, they refunded me the charge, and let me keep the box. Then when I re-subscribed with a 6-month sub in December, they offered to start my sub with the November box. I agreed, but they sent me two December boxes. I let them know what happened, and I wanted to confirm if my 6-month sub was still considered as starting with the November box, since I technically got two boxes, or December, since the boxes I got were December’s. I was expecting them to say November, but to make up for their error, they still sent me the November box and let my sub start in December.
