Bike On, Bear! by Cynthea Liu - Value $14.82 on Amazon (retail price $17.99)

What an adorable book with charming pictures. Bear is super smart and good at many things, but not riding a bike. His mother encourages him to go to the library (which warms my librarian heart) to read about bike riding. He tries everything without success that is until a goat needs rescuing at the local park. Bear jumps on his bike without overthinking it and is able to not only ride but save the goat (and day)! This is a perfect book for any child struggling with bike riding, or any new skill with the message that sometimes all we need to do to master something is stop worrying and simply relax.

Dream Animals: A Bedtime Journey by Emily Winfield Martin - Value $13.12 on Amazon (retail price $17.99)

This book has richly colored fantastical illustrations. It’s a rhyming book about Dream Animals which carry you to your dreams while you’re asleep. In each section, the animal that carries the child to their dreams mirrors the stuffed friend they are holding in bed. We enjoyed the pictures more than the story itself.

I Love You Night and Day by Smriti Prasadam-Halls - Value $14.30 on Amazon (retail price $16.99)

We love this sweet, rhyming book. It’s especially comforting to be read at night right before tucking the kids into bed. The illustrations are pretty and the message of unconditional love is perfect from parent to child.

Hush Little Polar Bear by Jeff Mack - Value $15.39 (retail price $17.99)

A little girl cuddling her plush polar bear imagines where he might go in his dreams. The illustrations show the bear flying in the sky, walking on a beach and climbing mountains. In the end of the story he’s right where he belongs, back in bed with the little girl.

Verdict: The value this month was about $58 and is well over the cost of the box as always! We continue to be so pleased with our Lillypost box each month. The books are always well curated, beautifully wrapped and represent a variety of topics, authors and illustrators. We absolutely love Bike On, Bear! And I Love You Night and Day this month. I highly recommend this subscription to all book-loving families with young kids!
