Gift-Izzy-February-2017-Booklet

This month’s Gift Izzy information card told about Italian designer Caterina Mariani and listed the products sent this month.

Gift-Izzy-February-2017-Bracelets

Gift-Izzy-February-2017-Bracelets2

Caterina Mariani Bracelets - Listed Value $170.26 USD

These delicate sparkly bracelets are exclusive for Gift Izzy. They aren’t available for sale in the U.S. and retail for 160 Euro. The bracelets were packaged in a stamped Caterina Mariani drawstring bag and were tied together with grosgrain ribbon.

Each bracelet was tied with a skinny leather cord to keep it from tangling and stretching. The bracelets are dainty cuffs and each one has a large sparkly stone. They can be worn individually or stacked together for a stunning look. It’s so nice to have another Gift Izzy exclusive!

Gift-Izzy-February-2017-Mixer

Tropical Passion Fruit Syrup from Liber & Co. - Value $10.00

Passion Fruit from Peru is blended with cane sugar to make this fruity and sweet tropical cocktail mixer. Ideally mixed with dark rum for a Hurricane, I didn’t have any rum at home so I tried it plain and it was delicious! I’ll have to get to the liquor store soon so I can try this with something more potent.

Cargo Gel Lip Color - Value $20.00

I’m a big fan of Cargo cosmetics and this paraben free gel lip color glides on smoothly and is highly pigmented. It’s semi-sheer with a satin-like shine finish. Subscribers will receive different colors. I got Barbados which is a bright coral. Unfortunately, this color doesn’t work with my skin tone.

Gift-Izzy-February-2017-Mask

Yes to Cucumbers Paper Mask - Value $2.99

The Yes to Cucumbers Paper Mask is a one-time use sheet mask that is meant to be calming to your skin. I found it had the opposite effect on me. It was burning and I quickly removed it. This might be due to the dry nature of my skin which tends to be sensitive in the winter. Hopefully, the other subscribers have much better luck with this mask!

Verdict: I was thrilled to see Gift Izzy include another exclusive item this month. I think their highest value items are always beautiful, unique and well worth the cost of the box. To me, the other items are just added bonuses. The value is around $203 this month which I’m very happy with. I anticipate receiving this box more than any other women’s lifestyle box. I highly recommend it!

I always enjoy Gift Izzy and this month is no different. I got a full sized Bite multi-stick and the Dr. Jart mask. I do think the bracelet set is pretty and unique, I am sure there are knock offs out there for less but I loved the story of the artisan and how much they sparkle! I am glad to see I was not alone in thinking the cords should stay on lol 🙂

Variations in this box include the sheet mask and lip product. Some people will receive a Dr. Jart mask and a Bite multi stick. Those variations are more in keeping with this box, IMO.

Coincidentally, I bought the Yes To Cucumbers sheet mask last week at Target for $2.52, and was quickly reminded why I don’t like this brand. I’m a sheet mask regular, and that one was not even “average, meh”. I think it was a huge misstep for Gift Izzy to put this brand in the box. If they had put in a sheet mask from BioRepublic or Florapy, the whole look of the box would have changed.

Similar bracelets (same design, same metal, different color stones) are on sale at the shop la luce website for 14 euro a piece, so for three of those you’d pay 42 euro total. The bracelet itself is brass and the stone is either glass, resin, or crystal. The metal looks kind of flimsy in the photos and now that I know it’s brass, 160 euro for three seems a bit steep. I’m not that impressed with this box. Heck, I just got a full size cargo highlighter in my allure box, and I only paid $10 for that!

I completely agree. I also went to La Luce when I saw the spoiler for the bracelets and saw the pricing and that it was brass. These are not Gift Izzy exclusives IMO. You can also get the Liber & Co item with coupons, making it less than $10. Not worth paying for this box….

Funny, I thought the leather strings were supposed to be left on and slipped over the wrist still tied!

this does not look luxury at all. the yes to brand is super drugstore.

Completely agree…this box does not say “luxury” to me at all.

I had to skip this box. I tried really hard to like the bracelets but they remind me too much of the push together rings I had as a little girl. This is the second box I’ve skipped so I’m hoping for better luck next time 🙁
