Hunkola Nutterly Awesome Cran Jam, 2 oz – Value $1.86

These snack bites are described as a combination between granola and cookies. They’re also gluten-free and vegan and contained dried fruit like apricots, dates, and cranberries, plus almonds, cashew, and coconut shreds.

Ecocentric-mom-february-2017-items2

These were really tasty! I really enjoyed the flavor, but I still didn’t regard them as very healthy because they seemed pretty high calorie and high in sugar (3 bites is 120 calories, with 8g/2 tsp of sugar). They tasted good, though, and my toddler really loved them!

Alcohol-free Hand Sanitizer from Good Common Sense Naturals – Value $4

This size spray is supposed to pack 80 sprays in it! Perfect for keeping in your purse or diaper bag. The scent is a mix of tea tree, witch hazel, and thyme. I wish they had included some sort of fruit or floral scent to balance it because I don’t love the way it smells but I will use it.

Peace Tea Sample from Live Inspired Organics – Value $0.50?

This tea has organic chamomile, spearmint, lavender, cinnamon bark, passionflower, and rose petals. All of those (except rose petals) are basically my top favorite flavors in tea so I was really excited to try this! It smells amazing.

100% Organic Cotton Softie Cloth Wipe – Value $1.58

This cloth is designed to be an alternative to disposable wipes. I think it’s great that some people are so dedicated to being green that they even use cloth wipes! I just kind of love the fact that wipes can be disposable, but I will say that I like the quality and feel of this cloth a lot! I have a little stash of my softest/organic washcloths to use for Gideon and I’m definitely happy to add this to the pile.

Baby Bits Wipe Solution – 100 wipe sample (3 cubes), Value $1.10

This wipe formula is plant-derived and made with essential oils with 100% vegetarian ingredients. These three little cubes are supposed to make enough for 100 wipes just by adding water! These smell like lavender and are pretty soothing too.

Ecocentric-mom-february-2017-items6

You just dissolve 1 cube per cup of hot water in a spray bottle or wipes warmer. Then you just spray the solution on your cloth wipes when you use them.

Lil’ Labels – 24 pk, Value $8.99

Labels are a great idea to include in a mom & baby box, and I’m surprised I haven’t received them in other baby subs before. They are so helpful, especially for daycare or social activities. These have little animals on them, too, which is a cute touch.

Ecocentric-mom-february-2017-items8

There are 3 sheets of 8 here. They are easy to write on and stick to things like sippy cups and snack containers well!

Green Sprouts Cool Calm-Press, Owl – Value $5.99

This is a small, reusable cold pack to help with bumps and bruises. It’s PVC- and BPA- free, and the size is perfect to use on little people.

Maty’s All Natural Cough Syrup Sample – Value $0.66

My son just got over a bad cold. I had tried another natural cough syrup that had dark honey in it, and something about that brand or formula messed up his stomach. Hopefully, we won’t need cough syrup again anytime soon, but I’ll be curious to see how this natural cough syrup compares next time!

Sugar Scrub Love from Live Inspired Organics – 0.5 oz, Value $1.97

This scrub is a lovely new find for me. It’s called “Love strawberry essence,” and the fragrance is much more complex than just fruit – the ingredients include coconut oil, pure sweet almond oil, LOVE  Herbal Tea (made of rose petals, orange peel, damania leaf, cacao nibs, cinnamon chips, and vanilla beans), and near the end of the ingredients list is strawberry flavored oil, sweet orange essential oil, and peppermint chocolate essential oil. All of this adds up to an amazing gourmand scent that I love!

The scrub itself is formulated well, too. The grit is enough to get a good exfoliation but it’s gentle enough not to irritate. Plus, all the oils in the formula help hydrate too. I used this as a hand scrub and I keep rubbing my hands together since!

Crunchy Balm Unscented Tallow Balm – 1 oz, Value $9

I hadn’t heard of Tallow balms before trying this. Apparently, Tallow is a substance rendered from animal fat and is solid at room temp. This balm melts with the warmth of your hands and I found it to be very light but moisturizing on my dry winter knuckles. It didn’t leave much of any greasy feeling afterward, either.

Ecocentric-mom-January-2017-items13

This balm is very versatile – you can use it anywhere on your skin for some hydration and healing!

The Verdict: I really enjoyed this January Ecocentric Mom Mom and Baby box. I feel confident that I’ll use everything one way or another, and there are some nice practical items as well as some treats like the snack and the sugar scrub. As usual, I found some new products that I’m excited about! The value for this box adds up to $35.65, which I’m happy with, especially because I like everything.

I wish they had a Mom & Toddler box! Past the baby stage, the only option is the Mom Box 😕
Also, their website claims a minimum $40 value.
