Candy Club is a candy subscription that sends 2-3 pounds of premier, brand name candy directly to your door each month. Each box contains four different kinds of candy, and Candy Club offers both a curated box and a custom box.

Candy-Club-February-2017-Box-Open

I’m subscribed to the custom box, which allows me to select my three main candies every month. (FYI- I’m able to choose three out of the four candies I receive in every box. The loose, individually-wrapped candies are always a surprise.)

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

This is a review of Candy Club’s Custom, $27.99, box.

Each candy had its own information card with a photo of the candy, its name and on the reverse side nutritional information and an ingredients list.

Candy-Club-February-2017-Raspberry-Drops

Vidal Raspberry Gummy Drops

These drops were puffy, fruity pillows in a pleasing pale blue and white. These were my favorite gummy candy from Candy Club thus far. The blue raspberry flavor was great and I also loved the sugar-coated texture.

Candy-Club-February-2017-Almonds

Albanese Chocolate Covered Almonds

These roasted almonds are covered with a generous coating of sweet milk chocolate. The almonds are crisp and nutty and the taste was delicious. These may be the best chocolate covered almonds I’ve ever had.

Candy-Club-February-2017-Clothes-Pegs

Vidal Sour Jelly Clothes Pegs

These sugar-coated gummy clothespins were sour and fruity. I liked the unique shape which I’ve never seen before. They were fruity and just sour enough.

Candy-Club-February-2017-Rainbow-Twist

Atkinson’s Rainbow Twists

Rainbow Twists were the loose uncustomized candy this month. The brightly colored rainbow candies are fun to look at and they taste like cherry. They’re gluten free and vegan as well.

Verdict: I have to say what a treat it is having a box filled with brightly colored candy show up on my doorstep! I don’t know who was more excited to open the box, me or the kids. It’s hard to put a value on this subscription since gummy candy in bulk could be bought cheaper, but I found this comparable to what I would pay at the fancy loose candy shop at our local mall and much more convenient. We enjoyed all our selections this month, everything was tasty and fresh. I’m excited to pick new candies next month!

I signed up on Wednesday and received a box on Saturday. It was my first month and I received double the candy. wow, that’s a lot of candy. I like sour candy so I chose 5 sour things and one chocolate (nonpareils). None of the sour candies were sour enough for me but the nonpareils were delicious. I would like to continue this sub but six containers of candy will last quite a while in my house especially because I like the varieties but don’t love them. Can you skip months or would I have to cancel and then resub?

Melissa

I skipped a month before when I was out of town. I emailed them to request the skip and got a reply right away.
