The Ox Box Jewelry Subscription Review – January 2017

The Oxford Trunk is an online boutique that sells very funky ladies’ clothing and accessories. I love their style! Their monthly mystery box gives you a choice among:

  • Boho, preppy, girlie, and classic styles
  • Large (3-5 items with a retail value of at least $85) or small (1-2 items with a retail value of at least $30, no clothing)
  • Pierced ears or non-pierced

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

This review is of the Small Boho for Pierced Ears, $15 a month, box.

The Subscription Box: The Ox Box

The Cost: Large boxes are $50 + $10 shipping, Small boxes are $15 +$5 shipping

The Products: Items can include (but are not limited to) jewelry, beauty products, clothing, and accessories.

A coupon for 10% off any purchase in the Oxford Trunk shop was included this month.

Just as a note, these are items that The Oxford Trunk does not carry on its website usually, so I don’t have any basis for providing links or retail values usually. I have heard that they send a lot of their sample items, which would make sense, but I have no way of knowing if that’s true or not.

Golden Sun Necklace

I love this little sunshine necklace! It’s so pretty! This makes a great layering piece.

Studded Ring

The only thing I don’t like about the Ox Box, and this is true of several jewelry subscription boxes, is that you can’t specify your ring size. I have big fingers, so I wind up getting a lot of pinky rings from them when they are not adjustable. In any case, this is a cute ring! I like the little black studs!

Verdict: I love The Ox Box! This month’s pieces were super cute, and I’m sure I will still wear the ring. I never know the value of the pieces, so I just have to decide if I think the package was worth $20. This month, even with another ring being relegated to my pinky ring, I still feel like the value was great.

What did you get from The Ox Box this month?

  1. I love this box & would love for you to review the large box so I can decide if I want to go for it. If not that, I’d love also to see examples from the other choices like classic, preppie, etc. I always wonder if those are as good as the boho. I don’t particularly care for what’s usually termed “boho”, but these are usually pretty nice.

    • Ditto!!

      • Thanks y’all! I will see what I can do. Also just wanted to let you know if you search Ox Box on this site and look at the old reviews, I have reviewed the large box and all the different categories (although it was probably over a year ago). Hope this helps!
