This is the information sheet that came with my family's package. We let the chef choose our meals, and this is a list of what we received. It also has instructions on how to prepare the meals. The meals arrive in an insulated container as seen above, with plenty of ice packs inside to keep them cool. By the time I pull them out of the box they are no longer frozen solid, of course, but so far they have been just fine.

Meal #1: Chicken Parm

Our first meal was chicken parmesan. Another recent change with Meal Time Box is that they now package the entree separately from the sides. I think that makes it a little nicer as you can mix and match the sides to the entree you like. We received two of each meal and side. For all of these, I put them in the refrigerator and let them thaw, then cut one end open and microwave for two to four minutes.

Here's how the chicken parmesan looked prepared. Since we've been subscribing to Meal Time, we have a "frozen dinner night" once a month and everyone gets to try something. This was my eight-year-old's choice. He hated it, but he hates everything. I tried a nice cheesy bite, and I thought it was delicious.

Meal #2: Beef Stroganoff

This is the frozen beef stroganoff. We have received this a couple of times in the past from Meal Time, but this is the first time they packaged the noodles separately from the meat.

Here it is prepared. This is a favorite of my husband's! He liked it just as well with the noodles separated. He couldn't really tell any difference in taste.

Meal #3: Vietnam Ribs with Rice and Brussel Sprouts

This is the frozen Vietnamese pork ribs with rice and brussels sprouts.

This was my ten-year-old's choice for the month as he is the big rib eater in the family. He liked everything but the brussels sprouts.

Meal #4: Meatloaf with Brown Rice and Brussel Sprouts

This is the frozen meatloaf with brown rice and brussels sprouts.

None of us like meatloaf (or brussels sprouts, for that matter), so I took one for the team and ate it this month. For meatloaf, it was pretty tasty!

Meal #5: Bacon Mac and Cheese

This is the frozen bacon mac and cheese.

I ate this on a separate occasion because, bacon and cheese! Yum! It was completely delicious.

meal-time-january-2017-dessert

Meal Time Box always sends the most amazing desserts from ABV Sweets! They are so indulgent! We got these rocky road brownies again this month, and once again, they were so good.

Verdict: Meal Time Box is a little more expensive than the frozen meals you typically find at the grocery store, but they taste much better and seem to be much healthier. Regardless of what the individual verdicts above on each meal may say, they are all much, much tastier than your average frozen meal fare. I understand that they don't always look super appealing, but I really like that there aren't a bunch of added preservatives, colors, artificial flavors, sugar, etc. They are also very convenient, so if you eat frozen meals they are definitely worth checking out.

The food may not look that good but if it tastes good I’d love to try it for my family. I wish they would ship to Texas. I’m desperately looking for ways to make weeknight dinners easier!

The Chicken Parmesan dish looks kinda good but that Beef Stroganoff, it doesn’t even look like beef! Not to be negative but what in the world?

I just can’t imagine eating any of that stuff….. but I always click on the review though. I guess i like the shock value of it. Yucky looking stuff!

Maybe it’s just me but these are all so visually unappealing. It all looks like meatcake except for the yucky brussell sprouts.

Food is all about presentation. Had they been plated differently I think they could look quite appealing.

I’m always curious with these. Nothing ever tastes soggy? Like the potatoes? I just can’t imagine microwaved potatoes

That’s what I’m wondering.🤔
