Each month, Bloom Abundant spotlights a different missionary. This month features Sheila Whitcomb, who grew up in Ghana, West Africa where her parents were missionaries and planted churches and Bible schools in the area. She now serves at the Agape House New Testament Church with her family, where she’s the head of the worship and assimilation departments within the church.

“Joy Comes in the Morning” Keyring - Listed Value $8.00

This small circular brass looking keyring with the inscription “Joy Comes in the Morning” on the pendant goes well with this month's theme. The keyring fit on my key perfectly and after careful inspection, I realized the keyring can turn into a necklace.

Here I turned the keyring into a necklace. I like it better as a necklace!

Pomegranate Lip Balm - Listed Value $4.00

This natural lip balm was soft and moisturizing and didn’t have a waxy residue on my lips, which I dislike. I have accumulated a handful of lip balms like this one from subscription boxes and they have all been natural ingredients, which is nice.

Bloom Abundant Exclusive “Joyful Journey” Necklace - Listed Value $14.95

This silver chain necklace with 3 charms was a delight to see and my first thought was this is a sign for me to travel and explore in 2017! The three charms consisted of an airplane, a tag with the inscription, “find joy in the journey" and a globe. “Bloom Abundant made this necklace to represent our journeys as well as that of the missionaries we connect with and support every month."

Fingerless Gloves - Listed Value $16.00

These wine-colored knitted fingerless gloves came at the right time as my hands are always cold. They fit well and kept my hands warm while I’m texted and drank my favorite Starbucks drink.

Essie Nail Polish in Lots of Luck - Value $8.50

This shimmering, opulent, vibrant color is delightful. I tend to wear my nails bare and on special occasions may polish my nails. This color is fun and vibrant and I wouldn’t mind wearing it. It's free of DBP, toluene, and formaldehyde.

Scripture Card

This scripture card reflects the monthly theme and references Psalm 30:5b New Living Translation.

Verdict: The Bloom Abundant box has a value of $51.45 which is well over the price of the box. This box combines the fun lifestyle items I love with faith-based items and scriptures I need. The box is encouraging, fun, uplifting and always focuses on a monthly cause to bring awareness to their subscribers.

I need help understanding something! The postcard of information on Sheila states that her family created a center to care for “biological orphans.” What does that mean? Isn’t every child who is an orphan I biological orphan? I feel like I’m missing something and would appreciate any education on the topic! I did a little googling but didn’t find much. Thank you in advance.
