Well, at least I picked out my 1st birchbox for 5 bucks. I will not be buying this overpriced box however.. Uh nooo!

Geez, sometimes I decide to read up on birchbox’s latest offerings….and all I ever say is “what the heck happened to them?” I just don’t understand how the kind of the sub box world has taken a swan dive into an empty swimming pool. I canceled when they took the points away, but oh the fond memories I have of the “good old days” of bb…sigh

I thought the HUM powder was awful. And a 9 oz water bottle is sorta useless to me personally.

Chelsea

Oh, Pleez! If this box has a retail value worth of $117 then I am a natural blonde.

Kerri

Hahahahahaha….thanks for the laugh! I agree 100% And I’m not a natural brunette either 😉

Lets do the math!! Based on the below (minus the Mascara because I can’t find the oz of “travel size” it comes to around $82… so unless that sample of mascara is worth $35… there is NO WAY this box is worth $117

Eyeko Sport Waterproof Mascara – Travel-size – ????
HUM Nutrition Raw Beauty – 3 packets – $4.70 (Based off $25 for 15 packets on other sites)
ARROW REFRESH On-the-Go Cleansing Cloths – Full-size -$12.00
Avène Thermal Spring Water – Travel-size 1.76 oz – $9.00
Living proof.® Perfect hair Day™ (PhD) Dry Shampoo- Travel-size 1.8 oz – $12.00
R+Co ANALOG Cleansing Foam Conditioner – Travel-size 1.5 oz – $7.25 (based off $29 for 6oz)
S’well 9 oz. Bottle in Amethyst Quartz or Glitter Sangria -$25.00
Pointe Studio Jett Grip Light Socks – 1 pair – $12.00

Birchbox continues to underwhelm.

Liz…any word on if Birchbox will be coming out with another Naturals limited edition box? I loved the last one they did and ended up purchasing several!

I would also love another one like that! I bought two of those, and I pretty much never buy duplicates.

I will try to find out! I think that was my favorite Birchbox Limited Edition box of all time! 🙂

Rooma

I agree! I really hope they have another natural beauty box!

Stacey

I can’t believe this box is 45$. For one full-size item (wipes), some samples and a mini water bottle, that seems like horrible value to me. Even with 10% off.

Emily

Agree. The 2014 and 2015 January LEs were awesome. This makes me think Birchbox is really struggling.

I have never had a desire to subscribe to Birchbox for this reason. I rarely hear or see great things about them, & they are always trying to get new subscribers with their constant deals. There are to many other great boxes out there that make Birchbox appear like a dud.

Sabrina

Well I refreshed the page and they are back in stock lol

I saw this earlier today, and I was going to notify MSA about it, but noticed that despite it saying “Add to Cart” it also says “Out of Stock” above it. It did let me add to cart, but I didn’t go through with the transaction because I’m not interested in this particular one. I thought I’d hold off in case there would be issues with people ordering it, but it looks like everything is working out fine for everybody who’s ordering! 🙂 (btw, I just checked, and it’s saying Out of Stock, but still letting me add to cart)

Sabrina

Out of stock 😑

I wish they were Bombas…. I’d totally buy the box if they had Bombas instead of grippy socks.

Reply ButtonReply

Elizabeth

Totally agree!! Bombas are all I wear to the gym now.

Kristin

9 ounces is tiny for a water bottle! Perhaps they mean you to use it as a flask 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Randi

Why didn’t I think of that!?!

Reply ButtonReply

Randi

Of course I bought one! I’m most excited for the small s’well 🙂

I think I’ll actually use everything in this box

Reply ButtonReply

Marion

I folded like a house of cards. The only thing I won’t use is the Hum powder.

Reply ButtonReply

Samantha

Put the HUM powders up for swap if you’re on the swap page! I am interested in trying it.

Reply ButtonReply

Ying

S’well bottles are amazing! I should get this box just to get a smaller version of the s’well I already have.

Jen

Thanks for the heads up, I just ordered it. This is the type of LE I have been waiting for from birchbox. I usually love birchbox limited editions but the past several have been total misses for me.
This one actually has me kind of excited, maybe I’m finally getting over my bitterness from the point system change 😂

Renee

Wow, Birchbox. Eyeko mascara, Avene water, dry shampoo , and that horrid green powder? How is this a box?

Reply ButtonReply

Kelly

I tried mixing the powder in a vanilla bean frappacino. It didn’t turn out so great. Probably my fault though.

Stephanie

To give some credit, the Hum powder is actually really tasty. But… not worth the cost of the box, obviously. :p
