Each month, The Bam Box will send out collector items according to its theme - December's theme was Legends!

bam-box-december-2016-0009

Each month comes with a booklet.

Inside, you'll find all of the information about your items.

Each month includes a pin. This month had 4 possible pins - all revolving around Captain America The Winter Soldier. You'd receive Cap, Bucky, or the Hydra insignia that were limited to 250 each - I got Bucky, The Winter Soldier!

Vader Down #1 Black and White Variant - Value $10-15 (based on eBay listings)

The first item this month was one of two comics. Vader Down was an awesome Star Wars run, this is the first issue of that run.

It comes with a certificate of authenticity from Bam Box as well. All Star Wars fans should check out the latest Marvel runs - they've been great.

Start Your Own Legend Letter Openers - Value $15-20?

You would receive a set of legend weapon letter openers.

These are listed as letter openers - and they're as sharp as they look - so parents beware! They don't seem to be related to a single franchise but I could see these getting use in an Assassin's Creed game.

Galactic Samurai Art Print - Value $10?

This month includes a limited edition signed print from Brian Reedy. This is a mashup of your favorite bounty hunter, Boba Fett, and a samurai. It reminds me a lot of the movie version of the Silver Samurai.

Each print is signed and includes a certificate of authenticity.

Red Sonja #0 - Value $15-20 (based on eBay listings)

The second comic was from Dynamite comics - it's Red Sonja.

Each issue is signed by the writer Amy Chu and includes a certificate of authenticity.

Sarah Grey "Stargirl" Signed 8x10 - Value ?

The value of this item is really up to you - if you love Legends of Tomorrow, you probably love this item!

bam-box-december-2016-0025

Like all signed items, it comes with a certificate. Sarah plays Stargirl in Legends of Tomorrow and will also be Amanda in the upcoming Power Rangers movie!

Verdict: While this month was better than last, it still felt like it had no hero item. The autograph by Sarah Grey was a definite upgrade over a cosplayer or artist autograph - so that's great - but I'm not really sure they're back up to what they had been a few months ago. Let's see what 2017 brings!

Bam Box has really dropped the ball two months in a row. I canceled my subscription with Bam Box after last months rip off. Are they even trying anymore? Just grabing what ever junk they have laying around and throwing it in the box for this month. I signed up with Nerd Block and so far I’m much happier with their items.

I think it’s funny that reviewers always manage to get at least one limited edition item. Another Blah! Box.

It seems like ever since they raised the cost of the box, the items have gone downhill, which likely means they invested too heavily early on and are now trying to make up for it.

I watch Legends of Tomorrow and I barely remember her character in it. I thought she was a cosplayer until I read the description.

They typically do a good job though with the prints each month. It’s usually something I would frame and hang unlike the prints you get in most other sub boxes.
