In addition to their bi-monthly subscription box, Luxor box also does Limited Edition boxes. This review is for the December Limited Edition Luxor Box. (No longer available).

This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Everything in this box usually comes in its own packaging so it’s great for gifts. Here are the items out of the packaging:

FYI this box is no longer available for sale, but here are the box details:

The Box: Luxor Limited Edition December Box

The Cost: $230 to the US, $260 to Canada

The Products: A luxurious gifts box including over $500 worth of items.

Each box comes with individual info cards per item, and some of the brands include coupon codes as well.

1951 Maison Francaise ROND bag in Blanc Craquelé – Value $155

This item was revealed with the box, and customers could pick one of four colors. (See all variations here.)

This purse measures about 8 inches across and should fit any size phone – yay!

And it has the classic polka dot fabric lining, too.

This white crackle leather is so unique – I have nothing like it in my collection, and I think the size of this bag is perfect for everything I need to carry, too.

Orrefors Snowflake Ornament – Retail Value $30

This crystal snowflake measures about 3 inches across and it catches the light beautifully! I think the red ribbon is a lovely contrast, too:

Kashmir Petite Dishes Set (set of 2) – Retail Value $36

These dishes are beautifully packaged and ready for gifting if you aren’t keeping them for yourself.

I love the gold metallic detail on these dishes. And the patterns go together well, too.

These dishes measure 3 inches across and about 1.5 inches deep.

I think the would be great for mints, nuts, and other tiny goodies!

Kashmir Appetizer Plate Set (set of 4) – Retail Value $60

These plates continue the pattern and gold from the dishes and this time we have two new patterns:

These measure about 6 inches across, and would be great for appetizer or dessert plates.

One thing to note, since these have a metallic finish, they are not dishwasher or microwave safe.

Briers Home Furnishings Diamond Weave Bamboo Throw – Retail Value $72.99

Subscribers will either receive this throw in white or blue. (This throw measures 72 by 52 inches.)

This throw is lightweight, soft, and should be good all year round. (As you can see in this last picture, it is a little see through when you hold it up to the light. I’m always a fan of getting throw blankets in boxes, and I think it was smart of Luxor to send one that will work whether or not you are located in a cold climate!

Cire-cell Vitamin C Ampoules – Retail Value $160

This jar includes 60 ampoules. If you aren’t familiar with this method of dispersal, “unlike traditional oil/liquid vitamin serums that can oxidize and degrade after opening, our biodegradable single-use capsules eliminate oxygen exposure and ensure fresh, maximum potency Vitamin C with each application.”

I love that this formula is fragrance-free. It also felt amazing on my skin. (I’d describe it more as a rich cream than a serum.) I was amazed by the finish it gave my skin – it felt like the same finish you get from a fabulous makeup primer. This is definitely a luxe skin treat!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $514. I think that’s great for a $230 box – especially with the quality of all of these brands and items included. I really love all items included in this box. Everything feels special and giftable!

I also like that they let subscribers pick the color of the spoiler purse item – very smart!

Wish I had ordered this. I’m very disappointed at my mystery luxor box. Since I only joined a couple months ago and had received one box I was expecting to see items from throughout the year I had missed out on. No, instead a received practically a duplicate box as last month- zebra pendant, beehive votive holder, etiquette socks, cote nailpolish. And things I was hoping I wouldn’t get- waterlily vase and compact mirror, r & m perfume. The only thing I’m keeping is the r&M velvet pouch. Thank you, swap city- here I come!

I simply loved this entire box! I’m so glad I ordered it! I chose the brown python bag and I was surprised at how large it was and the leather is just flawless! I received the white throw and it feels like liquid. Like it melts onto you! The dishes were my favorite inclusion! I would love to have more. They are so beautiful in person, and very much in style right now with the matching unmatched patterns! This was one on my favorite boxes!

Received my box and very happy I ordered. Everything is quality and feels very special. I am really happy with the crackle bag and know it will look even better with wear.

I didn’t order this box because I have no use for yet another tiny bag and the steep price this year. (I got last year’s and loved most of that one too.)
But I love everything else in the box! Serious box envy on this one.
I stopped getting the regular luxor boxes too. I liked and could use 1 or 2 of the items, which is not enough to justify buying such an expensive box.

What a great box! Love all the items. Nice variety.

The cell stuff o o I want. I skipped the box this year. I found I didn’t keep too much last time out of the box…but this box…is different!!!

All of the items look nice, but they’re not exciting items to me. I feel like Luxor Box is hit or miss, so I’m hesitant to order one since the price is so high. I always love seeing your reviews of it, though!

I can never seem to follow through with buying high priced boxes (with the exception of the Adidas box), but I wish that I got this. Every item is just gorgeous!

I noticed the smooth makeup-primer feeling of the Circ Cell ampoules, too, so I looked at the ingredients, and, yup, it has a lot of dimethicone/silicone, so it definitely has a lot of the same components!

It probably would be an excellent hair de-frizzer, too.

I love this box those dishes with the gold are beautiful, but I still don’t want a bunch of unmatching dishes form these sites. What if you needed 6 app plates. I hate that I have a bunch of unmatching dishes now it drives me crazy. I guess I will stick with cosmetic boxes I’m still loving the net-a-porter box and Byrdie I advise anybody who wants some nice products to try both those boxes they’re great. I wish I could afford to buy two.

You should try using these dishes in ways other than on the dining room table. They make lovely catch alls on desks and vanities and even craft tables. We’re a family of 6 so I understand about needing more than a pair of matched dishes but I’ve found ways to incorporate them outside the dining realm and even occasionally within it when having a girlfriend over for lunch. And of course you can always swap for a full, matched set here on MSA or on another swap site if dining is your preferred/exclusive use. I personally like to spread lovely extras around outside the kitchen; they feel even more special to me when used that way. I can’t fathom a sub box ever sending full place settings or service for 4+.

I got Net-a-Porter, too, and am waiting for Byrdie to arrive. So exciting!

I love this box!! I SO wish I had bought this instead of the Neiman Marcus box. (In my defense, I’ve loved every other NM box.) I’m not crazy about the crackle paint and would have gone with red had I bought the box. I think the crackle looked a lot cooler in the pics they sent out.

But OH those PLATES!!! Want!

I received my box a couple of days ago. I’m still getting used to the bag (white crackle also) but I was extremely pleased overall with this box. I love everything and it felt as though it was money well spent to me. I was surprised to get both the plates and the square dishes. They’re a gorgeous set.

Also, I received the blue blanket which is my preference.
