Trunk Club is a clothing styling service for both men and women. Subscribers work closely with their stylist to find a selection of pieces to try on at home, and they receive a trunk shortly thereafter. Trunks can be ordered as often as you like, so you can try it once, or have a trunk sent to you quarterly or monthly. Or even more frequently!

So first, a little more about how Trunk Club works. When I signed up, I took a pretty lengthy style questionnaire online. Then I was matched with a stylist, Kelly, who asked me even more about what I like and what I was looking for via an online chat. Based on this information, she selected ten items for me to try on at home. She then sent me a link to preview all my items!
These are all the items she selected for me. As you can see, I could choose which items to send (or not). I could also decline the trunk at that time, had I been really unhappy with the choices. I feel a little silly about it now, but I declined three pieces. I should have just had her send them anyway, it wouldn't have hurt to try them on!
My box finally arrived! This notice was in my paperwork. Apparently, subscribers used to have ten days to try everything on, but now it has been reduced to the standard five days.
This packet was also included in my trunk.
This is a note from my stylist, Kelly. I love that she actually looked at my Pinterest board! I'm impressed.
This is my invoice. It lists the items I was actually sent and the cost to keep each item. My $25 styling fee will be deducted from anything I decide to keep. There is also a reminder to provide feedback on their website or app about how well each item worked for me.
On the back of the invoice are instructions for returning the items I don't want to keep. I can drop my box back off at any UPS location, or I can schedule a free pickup through the Trunk Club app!
These items were also in the packet. When I've finished repackaging the items I don't want to keep in the box, I just put this return label on it and use the tape straps to tape it back up! So convenient!
'Majorca' Floral Embossed Peep Toe Bootie by TOMS - Cost to keep $89.25
Of all the items I previewed online before my trunk was sent, these shoes were the thing I wanted to work the most. Sadly, they did not fit at all and will have to go back. I have bought TOMS shoes for the kids before (I completely love TOMS charitable giving!), but I have never tried them for myself. I have kind of wide feet, so only some shoes work, but these just don't at all. I absolutely love the way they look! I am so bummed!
For the record, Trunk Club will provide free exchanges for pieces that you would like in a different size, which is excellent! In the case of these shoes, though, I know if I went a size up they would be too long, thus invalidating the whole "peep-toe" concept. So sad!
Chiffon Tie Jersey Top by Vince Camuto - Cost to keep $89
First, I absolutely love the color of this top, and I think the tie is super stylish. Unfortunately, it seems to be way too long for me. It's not supposed to be all scrunched up in the middle the way I am wearing it, but leaving it long looked really bad. You'll notice the arms are also too long. I don't love it enough to have it altered, so I think this one may have to go back.
Plaid Fable Split Neck Tunic by Vince Camuto - Cost to keep $89
I really like this top! I didn't think I would, but I sort of fell in love with it once I tried it on. It has that plaid fall vibe that I dig but in cool colors. It's also very thin and a little sheer, which makes it A. sexy, and B. more wearable during this, the hottest fall on record here in Georgia.
Cowl Neck Top by Sejour - Cost to keep $69
This lightweight sweater is very cute and basic. It fits well and looks fine on me, and the cost is pretty reasonable. My only concern is that it might not get cold enough to wear this winter!
Print Three Quarter Sleeve Tee by Sejour - Cost to keep $59
When you're short (5'3"), three-quarter sleeves don't always look like they're supposed to, haha! However, this shirt has a flattering cut and is really nice and comfortable. I didn't like the print when I fist saw it in my trunk, but I really like it on me! It works somehow!
Zip Back Blouse by Sejour - Cost to keep $89
I have mixed feelings about this blouse. I don't like the print, it's just not my style. BUT, I do like the color, and I think it's pretty cute on. I can't decide if it's maybe a little too mature looking for me?
Faux Fur Jacket by Sejour - Cost to keep $129
Eeeeeeeeep! I love this coat so much! I am totally keeping this, I don't care if the weather never dips below 85 again! It's just beautiful, and fortunately, it's also flattering. The individual "hairs" of the fur are kind of thick and ropey, so it has an incredible movement to it. I've never seen anything like it!
Verdict: This was a totally amazing first package from Trunk Club! Kelly did a fantastic job picking out pieces she knew I would love. I am completely bummed that those booties didn't fit, but that's definitely not Trunk Club's fault. Plus, the coat is so awesome that who cares! It was really fun trying everything out, and I think I will end up with 2-4 new tops that I love in addition to an amazing new coat. I'm an instant Trunk Club fan!
