Trunk Club is a clothing styling service for both men and women. Subscribers work closely with their stylist to find a selection of pieces to try on at home, and they receive a trunk shortly thereafter. Trunks can be ordered as often as you like, so you can try it once, or have a trunk sent to you quarterly or monthly. Or even more frequently!
My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

So first, a little more about how Trunk Club works. When I signed up, I took a pretty lengthy style questionnaire online. Then I was matched with a stylist, Kelly, who asked me even more about what I like and what I was looking for via an online chat. Based on this information, she selected ten items for me to try on at home. She then sent me a link to preview all my items! This month I decided to try everything she selected.
My box finally arrived! This notice was in my paperwork. Apparently, subscribers used to have ten days to try everything on, but now it has been reduced to the standard five days.
This packet was also included in my trunk.
This is a note from my stylist, Kelly. I chatted with her before she selected my items, so she is speaking to why she chose these items based on our conversation.
This is my invoice. It lists the items I was actually sent and the cost to keep each item. My $25 styling fee will be deducted from anything I decide to keep. There is also a reminder to provide feedback on their website or app about how well each item worked for me.
On the back of the invoice are instructions for returning the items I don't want to keep. I can drop my box back off at any UPS location, or I can schedule a free pickup through the Trunk Club app!
These items were also in the packet. When I've finished repackaging the items I don't want to keep in the box, I just put this return label on it and use the tape straps to tape it back up! So convenient!
Pleat Front V-Neck Shell by Sejour - Cost to keep $69
My husband (the photographer) really liked this piece on me. I have a growing fondness for eggplant (the color, not the vegetable), and I think this is a really unique design for a shell. I really like it!
Stretch Roll Cuff Ankle Jeans by Kut From The Kloth - Cost to keep $99
You know how sometimes you just put on a pair of jeans and they instantly feel like they were made for your body? That happened with these jeans. They are so soft and comfortable! I love them! I don't know how flattering they are, though, plus I'm not really in the market for jeans right now. I'm completely torn!
One Button Blazer by Vince Camuto - Cost to keep $165
Wow. That's a lot of white. This fit well, but this is not really my style.
Cowl Neck Tunic Sweater by Caslon - Cost to keep $79
First of all, I love this color, and I have absolutely nothing in this shade. Having said that, I'm not sure this fit is right for me. It's the right size, but I just feel like it's too big in general for someone short like myself. I get that it's supposed to be a tunic, but it feels like maybe a bit too much.
Cold Shoulder Top by Sejour - Cost to keep $69
This top is super cute, flattering, and comfy! Triple threat! I just wish it felt appropriate for the season.
Bomber Jacket by Sejour - Cost to keep $129
Bomber jackets have never really been my style, but this is a pretty nice one. I think it looks okay on me, but I'm not in love with it.
Smocked Off the Shoulder Top by Sejour - Cost to keep $59
I felt super sexy when I tried this top on! I don't think it looks very sexy in the pictures, though. I love the sleeves and the color and the bare shoulders. One again, torn!
Geo Burnout Trapeze Dress by Vince Camuto - Cost to keep $188
Kelly and I chatted about holiday party wear, and she was kind enough to send a couple of dresses over that might suit the occasion. I think this dress is really cool conceptually, but it's just not flattering on me. I think it would look amazing on someone tall.
Lace Overlay Sheath Dress - Cost to keep $188
Okay, hear me out. Yes, I need to be wearing some kind of shapewear under this to smooth everything out, BUT... Y'all this dress is amazing! I love it! I love the color, and I think it's super flattering. I love the neckline, too. It's not cheap, but if everyone reading this would just be so kind as to invite me to your holiday party, it would completely be worth it!
Verdict: This was my second package from Trunk Club, and it was awesome! Kelly did a fantastic job picking out pieces she knew I would love, but in our next chat, I think I need to remind her of my boho chic aesthetic. There were a few pieces that weren't my style at all. Then again, I never would have picked out that lace dress for myself, and it's such a winner! Having other people pick out things for you to try on is one of the things that makes styling subscriptions so fun! I'm turning into a huge Trunk Club fan!
