The information card listed the book phone case of the month: A Little Princess. It also listed the other princess themed gifts. The back of the card was a quote from Frances Hodgson Burnett.

Book Phone Case - Value $29.00

I have never read A Little Princess, but that doesn’t prevent me from loving this beautiful case. It’s inspiring me to want to read the book! The phone case is made from faux leather and is more like a phone wallet in that it opens with a magnetic snap closure and has slots for credit cards. The piece that fits around your phone is hard plastic and reminds me of my normal iPhone case.

Lace Headband - Value $4.00?

This headband is thought to be what Sara may have worn when doing her servantly duties for Miss Minchin.

Metal Suitcase Box - Value $3.00?

This small pink suitcase box is precious. I gave it to my daughter to hold her favorite Shopkins.

Scarf - Value $4.00?

Once Upon a BookCase recommends wrapping this scarf around your neck, purse or even to tie up your hair. It’s a filmy material in a pale blue.

Verdict: I really enjoyed my first Once Upon a BookCase box. I’m a children’s librarian who loves all things books, so as soon as I found out about this subscription I had to give it a try. The phone cases are so unique and well-made. I think the value is fabulous too. This month’s value with my estimations was about $40. The phone case alone (if you purchase it on Etsy) is $29.00 so everything else they add to the box is just a bonus in my eyes.

What do you think of Once Upon a BookCase? Do you think these phone cases are as special as I do?
