Nerd Block Jr. has just recently started including information cards that list out the contents, and I am so pleased! Sometimes with the geek boxes, it's hard to tell what something is!
This month, Nerd Block included a $10 coupon for their new shop!
They also included a $10 coupon for Shirt Punch, and on the back is a portion of a picture. The object of this coupon game is to collect all ten portions of the picture and make a set. If you collect all ten, you get a $100 shirt punch gift card!
Exclusive Shirtpunch! T-Shirt: Transformers - Value $15?
Guess what? Nerd Block Jr. now includes t-shirts! That's awesome, and their inaugural tee for NBJ Boys is super cool. Who knew Optimus Prime could be so adorable?
Star Wars Rebel Journal by Ezra Bridger - Value $6.88 on Amazon (retail price $9.99)
My ten-year-old flipped over this book! He is a Star Wars MEGA fanatic, so he was really happy to get this. And of course, I'm always happy when boxes send anything that encourages the kids to read.
The Flash Figure - Value $6.50
It's The Flash! This little guy went straight up on the kids' "nerd shelf."
Glow Goo - Value $4.99
This is a really fun inclusion that's fitting for the Halloween season, but it was kind of a miss for us. The boys are generally kind of over goo since it's such a common feature of subscription boxes. I also think this is really just a toy, and nothing particularly nerdy.
Hot Wheels Marvel Ultimate Spider-Man Vs. Sinister 6 Blvd. Bruiser - Value $6.50
What a cool car! And of course, the boys both love Spider-Man!
Marvel Iron Man 3 Avengers Lanyard - Value $5?
I couldn't find this exact lanyard online, so the value is an estimate. I always thought lanyards were for grown-ups, and I didn't expect my kids to like this. But, when I told my eight-year-old what it was for, he got really excited to have such a cool thing to keep his school ID in! Win!
Minions Scenemaker - Value $5?
The website for this items says that it is "Coming Soon!" so the value here is a guess. My boys are obviously big fans of the Minions, but they were kind of lukewarm about getting a cardboard cut-out of Kevin, to be honest. I'm sure lots of kids were stoked about it, though.
Verdict: My sons love Nerd Block Jr. for Boys! This month we had a couple of misses, but lots of wins, too! They were really excited about the new tee shirts being included, and we were all happy to see seven items in the box instead of the usual five. That makes any misses a lot easier to take! The value of everything adds up to about $43, which is fantastic for a $20 box! Awesome!
