Golden Tote has released their first ever collection of activewear! You can see all of the items in this collection here. FYI – these activewear items are only available for purchase in the Golden Tote Boutique, not as chosen items for their totes.

If you aren’t familiar with Golden Tote, here’s a really quick intro to their regular totes (not activewear items): Every month you get to pick out 1-2 pieces, and they surprise you with the rest. (The surprise items are completely different from the pieces you pick from). For the $149 tote, you pick 2 items, and get 3-4 more surprise items based on your style profile.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Mesh Panel Leggings – Cost: $42

These cropped leggings are a really nice shade of olive – a color I don’t have any of my fitness apparel! They also have mesh panels on each leg, plus a small pocket in the waistband for holding something small (I’ll probably just keep my locker key in it when I’m at the gym). These leggings are so comfortable! The material isn’t a compression material – they’re very stretchy and comfortable. They have a really nice high rise, as well.

Here’s a look at the back – I know I’ll be wearing these for pilates a ton!

Drawstring Pants – Cost: $38

These sweatpants are so crazy comfortable. Like the leggings, they have a higher rise which I love, but since they have a drawstring you can also wear them lower for a more relaxed fit and lower rise. They’re the material is super soft! There are also pockets in the front. I’m 5’11” and these hit just above my ankle, but if you’re shorter they’ll be full-length pants for you. I think $38 is a nice price for these pants!

Contrast Sweatshirt – Cost: $42

My first thought of this sweatshirt was that it doesn’t seem like the most flattering top, as it runs a little short and wide. However, once I put it on I realized that I absolutely do not care because it is so comfortable and crazy warm. It’s perfect for lounging or wearing as your extra layer pre-workout.

It’s a great relaxed piece to wear over my sports bra and leggings as I warm up for pilates, and it’s been my go-to lounge top for the mornings at home when I’m up with my toddler and not dressed for the day yet.

The Verdict: I am so excited that Golden Tote is starting to curate athleisure/activewear collections! I know they wanted to keep it simple with their first launch but they’ve mentioned on the facebook page that they plan to include tops/sweatshirts with varying fits and more colors in future collections, which is exactly what I want to see! My three items add up to $122, but with the 25% off I got $30.50 off, making my order total $88.50, which I’m happy with for these!
