Shirt Block is brand new from Nerd Block. They send out 5 geeky themed shirts each month. You can also switch you shirt sizes from month to month if you’d like to share the wealth!

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out our review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

The Cost: $29.95 plus shipping (Shipping varies, $10.95 to US)

COUPON: Use coupon code NERDADDICTION to save 17% off your first month!

The Products: 5 geeky t-shirts in every box + $10 ShirtPunch voucher.

Ships to: US, Canada, and Worldwide!

Check out all of our Geeky Subscription Boxes in the Subscription Box List. Rate, review, and follow this subscription on the Shirt Block profile page.

Each month, you’ll receive 5 exclusive prints from Shirt Block. There isn’t a theme, though, so selections can be from numerous fandoms.

It always includes a card that details all 5 shirts.

It includes a $10 credit to ShirtPunch and their new e-store, which just launched!

I’m Still Free – Value $15?

The first shirt I saw this month features the famous lyrics to the Firefly theme song. It also shows off a cloud-like Serenity ship!

Furday The 13th Shirt – Value $15?

This month’s spotlight shirt is from Vincent Trinidad. His design features Jason Vorhees in cat form – this kind of feels like a Friday the 13th and Pet Sematary mashup to me.

Marvel Classic: The Avengers Shirt – Value $15?

This is the third month in a row that a Marvel shirt was included (you won’t see me complaining). This month features the classic Avengers team – including Wasp!

Chocobo Racing – Value $15?

This speedy, flightless, bird is from Final Fantasy. This is a fun shirt because any Final Fantasy player will immediately get the reference.

Bates Mansion – Value $15?

Bates Mansion gets the Disney treatment! I’ve never been a fan of any of the Psycho movies or Bates Motel series – so this is the only shirt that missed the mark for me this month.

Verdict: While 5 shirts a lot every month, especially if you’re subscribing to other geek boxes and almost certainly getting a shirt that month, the shirts in the past 3 boxes have been great. It’s a nice quality shirt and I’ve enjoyed the graphic design of the shirts more than the typical geek box shirt – but I’m not sure if that will push you over the edge for this subscription if you’re getting shirts every month anyways.

What do you think of Shirt Block? Is this a subscription you’re thinking about subscribing to?

  1. Awesome shirts 🙂
Does the coupon code still work? When I tried it, it says Coupon code “NERDADDICTION” is not valid.

    • I reached out to them – looks like it may have been removed when they launched their new site. I’ll update this when I hear back. Thanks!

    • This is working again as of right now. Thanks for the heads up!

  2. Love the Firefly one! I’d get it just for that 🙂 and my hubby is a total tee shirt guy, and lovable geek so he’d love this too. How’s the fit/sizing and quality in general?

    • They are Gildan tees, if that helps at all. The sizing is what I’d expect – the 2XL fits as expected on me. The quality is good, it’s 100% cotton but not super soft – they have tags, too, but it’s marked as a tear-away tag, so they’re easily removed. Hope that helps!

  3. The only one I’d be interested in is the Bates one :p

  4. I feel pretty good about skipping this month other than that awesome shirt mashing-up a cute cat and, “Friday the 13th.” I am gonna have to swap for that!
