Lil’ Bear Book Club is a monthly children’s book subscription. They offer two subscription options: Board Books (recommended ages 0-3) and Picture Books (recommended for all ages).

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

This review is of the Picture Book, $17.99 a month, box.

The Subscription Box: Lil’ Bear Book Club

The Cost: $16.99 a month for board books, and $17.99 a month for picture books (save money with longer subscriptions) $5 shipping per month

Good to know: The books were individually wrapped (at no extra charge) and it felt like unwrapping a special gift. I think this is a nice touch, especially for a kid’s box!

The Nuts: Bedtime at the Nut House by Eric Litwin – $13.51 on Amazon (retail price $18.00)

It’s bedtime at the nut house but Wally Nut and Hazel Nut keep ignoring Mama Nut and don’t want to head up to bed. Not until Mama gets angry do the nuts finally go up to bed. They’re worried mama Nut might not love them anymore but she assures them they’ll always be her sweet little nuts. This book was a signed copy which is such a special treat! Eric Litwin is the author of the very popular Pete the Cat series.

Strictly No Elephants by Lisa Mantchev – $12.59 on Amazon (retail price $17.99)

This is one of my new favorite books! This is such a sweet story of a boy with a pet elephant who isn’t allowed to join the pet club. Knowing all about what it means to be a true friend, he starts a new pet club where anyone is allowed, including a girl with a pet skunk. The charming illustrations on matte paper feel cozy with lots of oranges and yellows. This is an instant classic in my opinion!

Verdict: The retail value this month is over $26 which I’m happy with. We adored Strictly No Elephants and I’m so thankful that Lil’ Bear Book Club introduced it to me! This month was a much bigger hit than last month. As usual, it was a fun treat to get two new hardcover gift wrapped books on the doorstep. Children’s book subscription boxes make fabulous gifts!
