Gwynnie Bee is a clothing rental subscription service for women sizes 10-32. I have been intrigued with their concept for a while because I think plus-sized clothing is sorely underserved in the subscription box market. I have been having a lot of fun with this subscription!

Check out our Plus Size Clothing Subscription reviews to see all the different subscription box options!

Gwynnie Bee kindly invited me to try their service for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

LEOTA - Perfect Wrap Dress In Gingham Raspberry

I liked the idea behind this dress, and I thought it was very cute, but I didn't end up wearing it anywhere. I usually force myself to wear everything, but this dress seems to have run a little small, and on top of that it was very thin. I felt a little indecent!

JUNAROSE - Pranee Palm Print Dress

I loved wearing this dress! I don't know how flattering it is, but it was just easy and comfortable. I felt good in it.

CITY CHIC - Abstract Print Front Bam Tunic

I felt wayyyy stylish in this tunic, and I thought it was really cute! I love the colors, too. Unfortunately, the neckline was a little too open and it kept showing a bit too much when I was seated.

CARMAKOMA - Alhena Top In Indigo Sugar

MELISSA MCCARTHY SEVEN7 - Slim Flare Jean In Blissful Wash

This top kind of felt like nothing really special, but it was comfortable and cute. These jeans were awesome except they were too long, as usual with me. The problem here is that this is rental clothing, so I can't hem the pants when they're too long! I may need to stop closeting pants on Gwynnie Bee.

CITRON - Kimono in Sketch Wave Border

This kimono was just perfect! It fit well and looked good, and was perfect for the weather, too. My husband also really liked it.

HEMANT & NANDITA - Tunic In Red & Purple Criss Cross Print

I actually got a lot of compliments on this tunic, which is always nice. I loved the colors and print, but I kind of felt like it was a little big on me.

STYLE & CO - Midnight Paisley Cold Shoulder Top

JAMES JEANS - Juliette Curvy Jean In Olefina

This top was cute and comfortable, and I liked the color. I think my shoulders are too rounded to do the cold shoulder thing properly, though! These jeans were not very flattering, and they seemed a little worn out by the time they got to me. And of course, they are a bit too long also.

Verdict: I love Gwynnie Bee! This subscription is absolutely so much fun! One thing I have noticed recently is that they have started offering more separates in addition to their astounding array of dresses. That's great news! I feel like last month everything was either amazing or a big miss for me, whereas this month everything was more middle-of-the-road. That's okay, though, because I love trying everything out! This is a fantastic subscription for people who like to wear something different every day!

I’m just finishing up the tail end of my free trial. I’ve only had a couple of items that fit well, so it was kind of a bust for me. But I think that red check dress looks super cute on you!! Love it!

I love the red and purple tunic!! I’m not sure how this box works though. I want to buy it, not just borrow it. I know I’m very likely to change my mind after trying it on though .

Thanks CiCi!

I’d guess that one nice thing about trying pants from rental is knowing if they’re something you’d want to go out and buy, so you could have a pair to hem? I don’t know, really. Fortunately, rolled hems can look decent, if you’re dressed casually 🙂
And, as always, you look good Anna!

aww, darn I thought this was the one we get to vote with! LOL! (see how you’ve spoiled us!) I just wanna say that I love the Carmakoma shirt and the gingham dress- but I agree with Teresa- seems more spring/summer.

Lol! Thanks Wendy. It was still pretty hot here at the end of September, so it was fine. But yeah, just like in real life, with Gwynnie Bee you gotta go in and adjust your closet when the seasons change or they might send you something that doesn’t work.

I love the red and white on you, that dress was so flattering and would have been a perfect summer dress I think! LOVE it

Agree though, everything else looked just ok. The 2nd jeans look really nice on you though
