Dia & Co. Subscription Box Review – October 2016

Dia & Co
2.5 overall rating
75 Ratings | 24 Reviews

Dia & Co. is a monthly clothing styling subscription service for plus sizes. When I signed up for the service, I filled out a fairly in-depth questionnaire about my likes and dislikes, my size, my price range, and other questions that might help my stylist. Every month my stylist sends five pieces for me to try out. The service fee is $20 per month, but that fee is applied to any item I decide to keep. Additionally, there is a 20% discount if I decide to keep all five pieces!

FYI - My items are reflective of my style and price preferences, so your package from Dia & Co. may be completely different!

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The Cost: $20 Styling fee (Pay for whatever items you keep minus the $20 credit)

dia-co-october-2016-note

This is the note I received from my stylist this month, Stephanie, explaining why she chose each item. I this she does a great job personalizing my shopping experience!

dia-co-october-2016-invoice-edit

This is the invoice for the items they sent this month. It shows each item and the cost to keep, plus the cost of the items totaled. Then at the bottom, it shows the total with the styling fee credited and the 20% discount for keeping all five items. The discount this month would be $63.20 if I kept all five items. That's a deep discount!

Karis Dress by Sandra Darren - Cost to Keep $65

I think this dress is really pretty and flattering, but I don't like the pattern. It's just a personal preference.

Shelby Top by Emerald - Cost to Keep $38

I love this tunic! This is a 100% win for me. The color is divine, the neckline is open enough, and I love the button detailing. This will be perfect with leggings. Keeper!

Carson Pant by Rafaella - Cost to Keep $65

I really like Rafaella pants for work, and these are a great shade of charcoal that will go with just about anything. They are a little too long, but pretty much every pair of pants I ever buy is too long. I always have to get pants hemmed, so it's not really an issue for me.

Roxanne Pea Coat by Yoki Sport - Cost to Keep $99

This pea coat is cute and flattering. I am not really in love with it, though. I'm undecided about this piece.

Brooke Blouse by Modamix - Cost to Keep $79

This is a great blouse for work. It's nothing super special, but I do like the neckline a lot. I guess I'm undecided about this piece, too.

Verdict: Dia & Co. is one of my favorite subscription boxes! It's true that it took a month or so for them to get my style down, but lately, they have been sending me lots and lots of good stuff. This month was a little different because I found two great pieces for work, which always feels a lot less interesting than finding fun pieces. I love the tunic, though! Please vote and let me know what you think I should keep!

What do you think of Dia & Co.? What pieces did you get this month?

I Love the olive blouse on you!
I’m fairly new to Dia&Co subscriptions, but out of nowhere my stylist changed and my box this month really missed my style. 🙁 Have you had this happen at all?

Know I’m late getting in on the discussion; but I love the design on the dress, but actually wish it was a shorter in front/longer in back tunic. Be awesome with right kind of earrings and black leggings! Blue jewel tone tunic is a must for you! The grey blouse is “so-so”. Think style is nice, but you need different color. Pea coat is cute design, but not sure it truly “flatters you”. Think the pants maybe too big in the legs as well as too long.

I am having trouble with my polls, but I say no on the coat. You spend a lot of time in a coat, well, where I live, but it needs to be something you love and you need something with color. I don’t see you in a black coat, it is to boring for you!

The Yoki pea coat was recently on Zulily for $29, by the way.

Anna,
Just wanted to tell you that although you were hesitant to do pictures of yourself for these reviews it’s great to see you smiling and hopefully becoming more comfortable with them. From one curvy girl to another it’s really encouraging. Keep up the awesome reviews!

Love that tunic. You look especially good in strong jewel tones. Really enjoy your reviews!

Thanks so much, Julie!

Good its not just me…my polls don’t work either but if you can afford it I think this is one of the best boxes I’ve seen for you. The pea coat was the only thing I didn’t think was an absolute hit. Everything looks great on you…I personally loved the first dress. I so want that one.

I really enjoy your DIA reviews Ana, thanks for doing them. That pea coat is a winner… keep!

Thanks Tara! I think I’m biased since it was in the upper 80’s here when I took that picture, LOL!

Love the dress and Brooke blouse ! I sent everything I received back for September.

Oh no! What did you get?

I like the blue top best, looked great on you. The pants would depend on hemming and I can’t see how the bottom fit is in back. I thought the Modamix blouse wasn’t just right. It looks like the sleeves are a bit short, not 3/4 and about an inch shy of full length. I didn’t think it was value for the money.

Anna

Thanks Michele! Yeah, I wasn’t paying close attention, I think I should have pushed the sleeves up a bit on the Modamix blouse.

Ugh. I couldn’t subscribe to this box just based on the level of writing in stylist letter. Inexcusable.

What? Am I missing something?

I don’t want to be negative, but this letter is just offensive for a few reasons.

Pea coat, I don’t think it fits that well and you won’t wear it. Pants, good basic when hemmed. Bouse, again, good basic and the sleeves are not too long! Add some jewelry to perk it up. Blue top is beautiful on you. I agree with you on the dress.

Anna

Thanks tpop! We are on the same page as usual! 🙂

I love the Brooke Blouse, the collar & pleats are beautiful! I’m wondering if the sleeves can roll up to 3/4? If i was there I’d be pinning the pants hem, adjusting collars and sleeves but more importantly playing with your dog & cat!

Do the polls still work for anyone else? They haven’t loaded for me the past couple of weeks.

To vote, I have to go to the site (not email) and use my dusty ole laptop- doesn’t work on my phone.

They don’t work on my Mac laptop either.
