This month's theme is "World Traveler"! I like the map design on the side of the info card.

Navy Kimono Scarf - Listed Retail Value $24.00

This box promises a shirt along with some accessories, so I assume this is what they're counting as this month's version. It's not quite a shirt, though. It's essentially a big semi-sheer scarf cut so that it can neatly drape over each shoulder and down your back.

You can see how it's structured to be a big back panel and two long panels (one to go over each shoulder) here. I like the color, the boho pattern, and the fringe, but I don't think the quality warrants the $24.00 price Threads Monthly gives it. It feels like rayon, and it's not a full shirt, as I expected it would be.

Fringe Necklace - Listed Retail Value $12.00

This necklace lays about 2 inches below my collarbone. It's definitely unique, but it takes some coaxing to untangle the chains in the fringe, get the pink beads to lay neatly, and coax the (faux?) suede fringe strands to straighten out. I don't feel like this is a very high quality piece, since the beads are obviously plastic and the gold color already started to wear down after I wore this around for an afternoon.

Pearl Collar Necklace - Listed Retail Value $12.00

This was my favorite item in the box. I like that the design is modern and romantic at once. The gems and pearls definitely aren't real, but in this setting, they definitely pass for something more sophisticated. I wore this to a fancy event over a turtleneck and it looked awesome! It's odd pulling the sides of this ring open in order to squeeze your neck through, but the ring seems flexible enough not to worry about it! The only downside of this piece is that, as you walk, the beads and pendant swing along the ring. It's not too bad, but FYI if those things bother you!

7 Gold Bangle Bracelets - Listed Retail Value $6.00

These lightweight bangles don't have any clasps, so you have to squeeze them on over your hand. Luckily, mine are pretty darn small. I could wear these all at once or one at a time. I like how there's a variety of subtle patterns pressed into these bracelets and that there are two "sizes" (4 thicker and 3 very thin). I'm a bit worried they'll turn my wrist green though.

Bonus Item: Travel Nail Files - Listed Retail Value $1.00

There's nothing remarkable about either of these coarse nail files, but they're handy to have around, whether I'm traveling or just bumming around the house!

Verdict: I liked this Threads Monthly box, but I wish the quality was higher. In the same way jewelry at a fast fashion store would, all of these accessories looked shiny and bright coming out of the box, but I'm concerned they won't stay that way for very long. I wish the kimono was an actual shirt, too. The value of the items at the list price Threads Monthly gave is about $55.00, which is certainly great compared to the $20.00 box. But I'm not sure all of the items are worth the full amount they're listed at (especially the kimono). That said, I'll definitely use all of the products in this box to add a little unconventional sparkle to my everyday outfits!
