I was able to use this coupon despite the fact that I am a PAST subscriber from CANADA! The system let the coupon go through and Glossybox honoured it! I have just received my two bonus boxes, one of them being a May one. I will be gifting the whole Mother’s Day one as I already have it.

I have never had an issue with their CS, they have always been extremely friendly and helpful.

I adore Glossybox!

I keep waiting for a new coupon to come out where i get two free boxes. 🙁 It says MSAGLOSSY is no longer valid at this time. Someone please update me if one pops up! I check religiously!

Seems like a lot of people have had to call customer service. My advice in dealing with their CS is to document everything about the call and get the name of the rep. Ask for an email confirmation of the conversation if possible.
Their deceptive system requires you to cancel by the 15th of each month, so if you order a box after the 15th, you are obligated to buy the current box, as well as the next month’s box. I called about this, and the rep told me she could take my payment for the current month over the phone and manually cancel the next month for me. I received email confirmation of the order for the current month, but nothing about cancellation of the next month. I argued with them about this for weeks, and had to notify my credit card company not to honor their attempts to charge me the next month.

So I went for the deal, and I ordered the 3-month subscription and tried to enter the promo code and I got some weird response like other customer groups might be eligible for this offer. So I sent them an email explaining that I was supposed to get 2 free boxes with my order. Of course I didn’t see the reviews until after I place my order, so I’ll be interested to see if I get any of my boxes. Has anyone had any experience with the promo code acting weird and still getting their offer?

Yes, I too ordered the three month with the code MSAGLOSSY. When I didn’t see the extra boxes listed, I called. You will NOT get the promo if you are or were an existing customer — this is for NEW customers only. So I cancelled the three-month subscription with customer service immediately. ALSO, the three month subscription would start with September; so if you already received a September box, you would get another. So I will subscribe on October 1 or after with a different unused email address, and I will use MSAGLOSSY if it’s still available or another code if enticing — otherwise I will not subscribe.

I’ve never subscribed to Glossybox before so definitely a new customer. I never got an email response so I called them. I spoke with a very nice young lady, who essentially told me that they were really sorry but they saw that the promo code didn’t go through and unfortunately they wouldn’t be able to amend the invoice but they could send me 1000 GlossyDots good for a free box. I then requested that they cancel my order and refund my money since the only reason I signed up to try the box was because of the deal.

She put me on hold to speak to her manager and when she came back on the line she said that they were going to send me the Mother’s Day Limited Box along with a bonus box. I told her that was great and I appreciated her efforts. I guess we’ll see if I actually get them LOL

Is this valid for Canadians?

Emilia

No, it is not. Again!

I’m waiting to see when they shit down and take everyone’s money. They are desperate.

Nope don’t apologize you had it right with the first statement!
And this made me laugh and almost snort my hot tea up my nose.

They need to stop it with these silly offers. They should focus on taking care of the subscribers they currently have, the orders already in place that have not yet been shipped (Hello, fighting pretty!) and the backlog of regular monthly boxes.

If they shift their focus, deliver fabulously curated boxes that everyone loves (remember the Bergdorf collaboration?) deliver on a predictable timeline, communicate clearly with their subscribers, ie. send out tracking numbers, I bet they will recoup their lost subscribers

I feel like their logistics is overwhelmed yet instead of clearing the backlog of orders, they keep trying to get more in the pipeline and who knows when those will be fulfilled.

I say, back to basics. Excellent products, delivered on time that bring joy and excitement when we unveil.

I think two major issues are site management and customer service:
First , they need to fix their site to be more modern, like the other sites. Why can’t I see that I used a promo code, except when I pull up a PDF of the invoice? Why can’t I redeem my Glossydots online? Why do the surveys only work 50% of the time, meaning I don’t get 1/2 the points I should be getting?
Secondly, they simply need to hire more employees to deal with the issues that inevitably arise with boxes like this, and actually deal with issues quickly. There will always be customers who are angry about variations, etc., but the ability to deal with damaged products, missing packages, and other issues would be easier if they had more than 2 people (my estimate, haha) running things.

These two points are interconnected too. It would also be easier for CS to deal with real problems if the site could actually do things that it should… maybe they wouldn’t have to deal with 10x as many emails about Glossydots/routine questions and could actually deal with real issues, if the site were more modern.

I couldn’t agree more. I am still missing one free box, but I’ve given up on ever hoping to clear up the mess. One problem I think was I used a second email address, and just used my first initial as the name. In one response from them, they said they are just a three person company. That’s a problem. Their financial bottom line must not look great month to month. Yes, if only they would stop this silly business with these offers and get their backlog of emails taken care of. I still love their boxes though, and am sure it’s costing them.

I may be in the minority but I think this is a fabulous deal. I took advantage if it last month. My first three boxes quickly arrived together (August, the two free ones- Mother’s Day “filled with love” and the May box). I just could not be any happier with the products and value. At $58 for 5 boxes total this is an amazing deal. That is about $2 per product. The Bare Minerals face wash, Laura Geller blush, so many items with a retail value of $20-30 or more. I even got the expensive dead sea $50 eye cream in the Sept. box. I have subbed and cancelled with Glossybox 3 or 4 times this year to take advantage of the buy one get two free deals and I can’t believe they include the Mother’s Day box in this promotion. I have never had any trouble with billing, shipping, or cancellation. I have found their customer service to be responsive. The boxes and packaging are beautiful and I usually find that at least 3 of the 5 products included are very high quality. I might not sub at $21/box but I will continue to take advantage of these deals when 5 boxes are $58. I am a huge GB fan although I am fully aware that some others have had issues with billing and shipping, as well as the potential variation in boxes. Can’t wait for the October spoilers!

Question, when you are cancelling and resubbing, are you using new accounts and emails?

Reply ButtonReply

Laurie

No, I use the same account and still get the deals.

stfne

This is one of their worst special offers. Pay for three, get two free? When I tried this sub, I used a special offer to get THREE boxes for free with a no-commitment one month purchase. That was in July, and I’ve seen the same offer at least twice since then. They must be desperate.

In my mind, this is a slightly better deal because you get the higher value limited edition Mother’s Day box, which I definitely knew I liked. All full-size products, most of which I will use? I jumped on it last month… but if you know you don’t like/want the Mother’s Day box, then definitely don’t go for it.

Reply ButtonReply

Christina

I almost jumped on this offer but then I saw the B1G2 deals when I was going through past reviews. I guess I’ll wait around to see if that ever comes back, but this is a pretty good deal if you were looking to try GlossyBox anyway.

Shelly

This is so tempting. I cancelled my Glossy Box subscription because I had such an excessive amount of makeup/beauty products, but I’ve been missing it. I also use that Bare Minerals cleanser on a regular basis. Just not sure I would use the rest of the stuff in that box though.

Reply ButtonReply

Linda

Am I reading this right? You get 2 free boxes, then the 3 you paid for?

Reply ButtonReply

CMB

Yes, you will likely get the past box, the limited edition box, and September’s box first, and in the same box.
Then October and November will come separately. Just make sure you cancel before 11/15 if you don’t want to continue! They had the same deal last month and I got August, limited edition, and past box (May) in one box, and my sub ends with October. I don’t think it was a bad deal for $58, since the Mother’s Day box was $40 and all full-size items 🙂

Sweet baby Ganesha, I cannot believe how long they have been trying (not so successfully, it seems) to unload this box.
