This month’s theme is The Happiest Box on Earth – a celebration of their favorite Disney characters. I love this information card! Not only did it show all the items in this box but it included tons of suggestions for things to watch, read, and play. I already love a lot of the things they referenced so I’m excited to check out a few new books and shows they’ve suggested.

Exclusive Mulan T-Shirt + Art Print – Value $20?

This is an exclusive design for FanMail by Christy Hartman. I’m so happy they went with Mulan – she’s one of my favorite Disney princesses! The information card also serves as the exclusive art print. It’s post card sized and will make a good addition to the bulletin board at my desk – you can never have too much female inspiration around!

Maleficent Funko Dorbz – Value $9.99

I’m familiar with Funko POP but this is the first Funko Dorbz I’ve owned and it’s just so cute! I’m embarrassed to say that I haven’t seen Maleficent yet but Sleeping Beauty is one of my favorite Disney films! Opening this made me want to listen to the Sleeping Beauty score immediately!  I’m excited to add this character to my small collection.

“Stitch” Magnetic Bottle Opener – Value $5?

I’m happy to have a handy bottle opener and extra happy that it’s Stitch, which is one of the cutest Disney characters around. I love it when boxes include items that are cute and practical!

Big Hero 6 Baymax Necklace – Value $15?

Big Hero 6 is another movie that I haven’t seen yet but I really want to! Baymax is so cute and this necklace is surprisingly sturdy and weighted. I don’t know if I would wear this often but maybe it’ll become a staple after I finally see the movie! If not, then I’ll probably pass this off to a niece or nephew who will love it.

Mystery “Disney” Heroes/Villains Keychain – Value $5?

Each box included a blind item. The possibilities included all the characters pictured on the front and two exclusive mystery characters. Did anyone get an exclusive character? I ended up with Dory! My nephew just started first grade and has been telling me about Dory for a while now so I passed this off to him and he was so excited to put this on his backpack!

Verdict: I really enjoyed this box! I love Disney items and it’s nice that this went with more recent Disney characters instead of the standard “classics”. It was a nice mix of characters and products that I can use or gift to someone who will love it! Based on my estimates, this box has a value of about $55. I also appreciate that it included exclusives and collectibles I wouldn’t have sought out on my own. Overall, I’m really happy with this subscription and can’t wait to see what comes in futures boxes!

What do you think of the August FanMail subscription box? What is your favorite item this month?

  1. I love the Baymax necklace, but felt it was to big to wear as a necklace, so I turned it into a keychain. Now I have to keep my daughter from stealing it.

    • I totally stole this idea! This works much better for me as a keychain too. 🙂

  2. Love the Mulan shirt! I would have loved to see a Princess and the Frog item since I don’t see stuff for it as much as the others, or maybe a Beauty and the Beast item since the new, live action movie is in production.

    • The key chain I received in this box was Dr. Facilier and I was really excited because I too have noticed a lack of merchandise for Princess and the Frog. I love it!

      • Oh that’s awesome! I do have a Princess Tiana Pop, but I haven’t seen any of the others in stores :/ She barely has anything at my local Disney Store or even on the Disney Store website. And I’ve only ever seen 2 (kind of boring) t-shirts in the Hot Topic Disney line. So disappointing.

  3. I loved Mulan when I was little, don’t know if I’d want a shirt of it though lol. Cute box!!!

  4. Great review, Sarah! That POP is just too cute. I don’t have any either yet & it would be perfect choice for first one for me.

And you can never go wrong with Dory.
