Elevita is a 100% volunteer organization dedicated to helping artisans in developing countries find a global marketplace for their goods. What a noble purpose! That have had an online shop for some time now, but they recently started offering a subscription box!

Once again, everything arrived in this lovely cotton drawstring bag! Such a nice bonus!

This is the letter I received in my package. It goes into great detail about the items in my package, and especially the artisans who created them. It really helps make these items feel so special.

This gorgeous turquoise bracelet was my first item this month. I love it! But, I tried it on and it's too big for my giant wrists, plus there's some extender chain, so I think they must be mistaken about what it is. I think it might be an anklet or even a choker. On the left is a picture of the artisan, a woman from the Philipines who is now able to support her children with her jewelry making. This same artisan was featured in last month's box.

My second item this month is this amazing capiz shell bowl! How lovely! It's perfect for jewelry or other small items. This was actually made in the Phillippines by an artisan collective that Elevita helped to start!

My final item this month was this set of notecards. They are so funky and colorful! They were handmade by an artisan in Tanzania who is part of a collective that helps market the skills of artisans in remote villages. I love these!

Verdict: This was my second package from Elevita, and I am impressed so far! I think all three things I received this month are beautiful and well-made, and I know I will use all three. You know how much I love turquoise jewelry! I actually think the $30 box price is a steal for such lovely items, and I love knowing that each purchase is helping these artisans support themselves and their families.

What do you think of Elevita?

Lovely box. The note cards are well done and beautiful colors but they have an unusual look about them (creepy). I guess I have been watching too many sci fi programs and some of the ads you see when searching the websites on articles.
