The Vegan Cuts Beauty Box is a monthly beauty and makeup subscription box. All of their products are vegan (and they tend to be natural, too). They also typically include a nice mix of full size and sample beauty items.
Vegan Cuts sends a single package to subscribers who get both the beauty and snack boxes. The beauty items are separated into a little bag. (If you do not get the snack box, I don’t think you get the little bag.)
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)
The Subscription Box: Vegan Cuts Beauty
The Cost: $22.95 on a month-to-month basis
The Products: Each box contains a mix of 4-7 full and sample size cruelty-free beauty must-haves, ranging from cosmetics to skincare to haircare. All items are void of toxic ingredients and animal byproducts.

Each Vegan Cuts Beauty Box comes with an information card detailing the items for that month.
Adorn Cosmetics Mineral Loose Illuminizer – Value $5
This is an Australian brand that is new to me, so that’s cool. This is kind of shimmery and totally the wrong color to work as an illuminizer for my skin tone (swatch below), but it will be a great eyeshadow. I do wish there had been a little shaker top with holes because I am afraid I will drop and spill the little pot, but I’ll try to be careful. (I took the value from the information card because I have no idea of the size and you can only buy this from an Australian site anyway.)
Derma E Purifying Daily Detox Scrub (0.5 oz) – Value $1.94
I have this in full size already (as in, before I received this box). I love this stuff in particular, and the Derma E brand in general. This has activated charcoal to really help clear out the pores. And I exfoliate frequently so scrubs are appreciated. I will be using the coupon code to pick up a few things.
Pacifica Color Quench Lip Tint in Sugared Fig (full size) – Value $5
Confession time. I had several of these from a Pacifica order (some massive special edition collection with a bunch of their products) that I just got rid of because I never used them. I don’t do tinted lip balm, which is what this is, really. I am of the “go bold or go home” philosophy when it comes to lip color, and this is nearly the same color as my lips.
That being said, I like Pacifica as a brand and this product will work for a lot of people. It is moisturizing, too.
Green and Gorgeous Organics Lavender and Bergamot Dry Shampoo (1 oz) – Value $7.99
Dry shampoo is another thing I don’t typically use. (Here’s another confession: I have color-treated hair and I shampoo it every single day. Often, I use shampoo with sulfates! My hair is still in good shape and retains its color pretty well.)
However, I do like to keep a little bit of dry shampoo on hand for emergencies. Like the time Nyx got sick and I had to spend an hour cleaning up after her and then go back to work all sweaty, or every now and then when I use too much of a new hair oil by accident. This is a nice size and I generally find that I like the powders (like this) much more than the aerosol dry shampoos. I tried a little out and this seems suitable for dark hair colors, which is nice.
Deco Nail Lacquer in Petite Palm (5 mL) – Value $12.50
This was one of the spoiler items for August. It looks like subscribers could’ve received several different shades. I’m happy with this one as I have been really into the pale blues and greens lately. This is 8 free (I’m not sure what the 3 things above 5 free are…). I am planning to do a manicure with it, probably with glitter on top, over the weekend.
This is some spendy polish, by the way. This is 0.17 fl oz for $12.50 whereas Juleps are $14 (or $11.20 for Mavens) for 0.27 fl oz. Other polishes are usually 0.5 fl oz for full size bottles.
Yes to Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Facial Wipes (30 wipes) – Value $5.99
It is not often that you see drugstore brands in Vegan Cuts, but the nice thing about it in this case is, it’s a full size container! I love skincare with charcoal in it; I really think it helps clean up the pores. These were gentle and non-irritating when I ran one over my face. I probably won’t use it for actual cleansing, but just freshening up on weekend days when I am not wearing makeup. I actually needed something to use for that purpose so I was happy to see this product.
Apologies that this is a little blurry; the photo is somewhat enlarged compared to the actual size of my arm. On top is the Pacifica lip tint and on bottom is the Adorn Illuminizer.
Verdict: I calculated a value of about $38.42 for this month’s Vegan Cuts Beauty. Although not every item was for me, I think the overall curation is pretty good, with some skincare, some color cosmetics, some haircare, etc. The value is fairly evenly spread out among the items (with a few exceptions) so even if you don’t like one thing, you can still get some benefit out of the box. Plus, the value is $15-16 over the cost of the box, which is good, especially for natural, vegan sorts of beauty products. Overall, this is a pretty dependable box month-to-month, and I especially like the products with charcoal in them from this month!
