Vinylpalooza 3.0 - 10

The latest format promised 4 POPs and 2 Dorbz - being a POP collector, it's hard to pass these up, but I haven't had the best of luck with duplicates in the past, so this was another chance.

Vinylpalooza 3.0 - 6

Ronan POP

3 out of 4 POPs ended up being duplicates, which is a total bummer. I'm having some back luck with limited edition POP boxes lately! My first POP is Ronan from Guardians of the Galaxy. While it's a duplicate, it's also a sculpt that I really like. Luckily, POPs have been easy for me to gift.

Vinylpalooza 3.0 - 5

Grey Worm POP

My second POP comes from Game of Thrones. Grey Worm is the leader of the Unsullied and right-hand man to Danaerys.

Vinylpalooza 3.0 - 4

Long Duck Dong POP

The next POP and last duplicate is from Sixteen Candles - it's Long Duck Dong! This is a great POP, but a duplicate - like most, they're instantly gifted.

Vinylpalooza 3.0 - 3

Angel POP

The only non-duplicate POP I received was from Buffy The Vampire Slayer, which I'm not a follower of. Luckily, we have a big Buffy fan working with us, so it was easily gifted!

Vinylpalooza 3.0 - 7

Rocket Racoon Dorbz

On to the Dorbz. I'm not sure if everyone got the same pair of Drobz figures - but they seem like they thought out what to send. My first Dorbz figure was Rocket, which is a duplicate.

Vinylpalooza 3.0 - 8

Groot Dorbz

And lastly, my first non-duplicate figure that I want to keep, is Rocket's partner Groot! I'm not a big Dorbz figure fan - but I like some of the sculpts. I like the leafs coming from Groot's head in particular!

Vinylpalooza 3.0 - 9

Had to get the group shot!

Verdict: These boxes are tough for me as a POP collector. I own a lot of POPs, so the chance of getting duplicates is pretty high. This would be a great box as a new collector - 4 POPs and 2 Dorbz figures are a great value at $25-30 shipped. I will call this out again because I love that they're doing it, it helps to get the $10 ShirtPunch credit with all of these blocks - it's fun to grab something I know I'll love even when I get a box of mostly duplicates.

Not as lucky with my Pop!s… Pinhead from Hellraiser, My Little Pony Spitfire, Sixteen candles Jakes Ryan, and The Strain Dr. Ephraim Goodweather…. really the dollar bin selection. I did like my Dorbz, Wolverine and the Penguin.

There should have been a warning that if you’re a regular subscriber to Nerd Block, not to buy because you will have ALL of the pops and dorbz already. =( Very disappointed. I got the exact same box you opened.

I got Jake Morrison from Independence Day, Samantha Baker from 16 Candles, Oberyn Martell from GoT, and Handsome Jack from Borderlands for Pops. Those were pretty disappointing. I got Starlord and Gamora from Guardians for Dorbz. Much better characters but I am not a huge Dorbz fan either. Oh well.

For someone like me, who isn’t a subscriber to Nerd Block and not a POP! collector, this box is perfect. I’ve found often that buying blind Pop! Boxes has generally fallen in the ‘miss’ category. There was a seller on Amazon that offered a “perfect for the newbie” blind Pop! Box. It was $14.99 + shipping for 4 Pop!s. I purchased it for my sister’s birthday, but ended up not giving it to her. All of the Pop!s were ones that no one else wanted or cared about. Very disappointing! However, this box would be great for her! All of the Pop!s in it are well known & liked. I, personally, REALLY want the Rocket & Groot Dorbz, so if anyone is going to swap them, I’m TOTALLY interested!

I got the same box. Kinda disappointing. If they charged less for shipping, their boxes wouldn’t be so bad.
