Some Pets by Angela DiTerlizzi - $13.49 on Amazon (retail price $17.99)

I love this book! We’ve read Some Bugs by Angela DiTerlizzi and this one is just as great! It’s got rhyming text and fabulous, colorful illustrations. My favorite page was the last one where they name each pet shown throughout the book and tell what kind of animal or breed it is.

Water Wow

Water Wow 3

Water Wow Pet Mazes– $4.99

Water Wow = Holy Grail for our family. I’m serious. Every vacation we bring a few Water Wows for those evenings at the restaurants when the kids are cranky and tired from swimming all day and being out in the sun. We save them and only break them out on a vacation which means they’re rare and special for our kids. We do not have this maze one though and I was thrilled to add it to our Water Wow repertoire. These books come with a brush that you unscrew and fill with water. Then you paint with the water and the pictures will appear. Once they dry you can use them again and again.

Snacks

Keebler Graham Crackers - $1?

A snack size bag of Keebler Scooby-Doo graham cracker sticks was added. These were a yummy sweet treat for my son after camp. A coupon was included for Happy Family Organics. This is a brand I’ve bought before and really like. They also put in a handy wallet sized reference sheet from EWG with the Dirty Dozen and Clean 15 to help guide you at the market when buying produce. What a great tool to have when I’m out shopping.

Tea

Pique Tea – sample

Pique Tea is organic brewed and crystallized tea. You just pour it into hot or cold water for instant tea anywhere. My sample was Earl Gray and it tasted delicious. I love unsweetened iced tea and this is a great portable way to make it right at my desk with a bottle of cold water.

Chatbooks – coupon code

Chatbooks is a company that turns your Instagram photos into 60-page books for $8 a month. Litjoy provided a coupon to try them out. I’ll have to look into this. I love using Instagram, it’s my favorite app!

Headband

Opposite of Far Dog Ears - $20.00

This is the second box we’ve received with an item from Opposite of Far and we were thrilled to get one of their beautifully made costumes again. These dog ears have a grosgrain ribbon so they can be tied and adjusted to any size head. My son has been wearing them around the house regularly, and even to the supermarket. Don’t judge! Such an adorable bookish extra and a perfect fit with the pet theme this month.

Here’s my son reading Some Pets while wearing his new dog ears.

Verdict: We loved our LitJoy Crate this month. I think it’s our favorite one yet! Pets was such a fun theme and everything felt nicely curated as usual. The value this month was over $39 not counting the coupons and tea sample. I’m very happy with that!
