I love how the contents are placed in the original box that was used when they launched last year. The box is sturdy and it slides out with a black, satin pull tab. This box will be perfect for storing various items and or as a gift box.

This month’s box did not include a mini fold out magazine like last month, which provides product info and the monthly theme. I reached out to customer service regarding this as well as the broken lip/cheek stain and a product sample that I was unsure of the content (I’m still waiting for a response and will update when they respond).

Melanin on Fleek Tank Top -$25.00

Fun Fly Fabulous sends shirts throughout the year and the text on the shirt correspondence with their monthly theme. This and past shirts can be found in their shopThis flowy, cotton/polyester blend tank with a racerback cut was a little snug. I will wear it around my apartment or maybe this shirt will be the motivator for me to start the many workout videos that I have yet to use, lol.

Blendable Lip/Cheek Stain in “Jill” -$36.00

This multipurpose product is intended for your lips and cheeks. Upon applying I had difficulties due to the fact the lip/cheek stain was cracked at the bottom. I didn’t want to apply too much pressure and break the product from the bottom. This lip/cheek stain is paraben free and is supposed to be universal and flattering to all skin tones. The website has videos of varied skin-toned women but the two ladies applying the “Jill” color were nowhere near my skin tone. The lip portion was moisturizing on my lips. I noticed the color bleeding a bit and in my opinion I couldn’t get enough of the color onto my lips without it being too harsh. I did blot the color and that seemed to help. The cheek portion was frustrating, because I kept applying color to show up on my dark skin. In the end I got a nice pop of color onto my cheeks. Check out the inspiring story behind LuMESH.

USB CABLE With Lightening Connector- $22.95

This particular color is sold out on Eastern Collective’s website. Their website indicates a length of 1.5 meters/5 feet. This is a standard USB cable for your iPod, iPhone, or iPad, which is always needed for summer traveling & weekend adventures!

Pur Cleanser/Toner- sample

This “on the go deluxe sample” is a foaming cleanser and toner all-in-one that clears impurities, moisturizes, and tightens pores. It had a citrus smell, lathered well and left my skin refreshed and brightened.

LaFace Cellular Regeneration Creme - sample

This cream can be used day or night and a little goes a long way. I sampled it on my hand and found it to be thick in texture and moisturizing on my skin.

Verdict: The Fun Fly Fabulous “Fun in the Sun” did not represent the theme, other than the tank top. I was disappointed with the lip/cheek stain being slightly broken at the base and in my opinion it looked better as a cheek stain than as a lipstick, although the color may grow on me as a lipstick. It was nice to be introduced to a skincare line that I hadn’t heard of, but without proper product information for one of the samples and no indicator of ounces for the other, I feel as if I am not being thorough in my review. Having another USB Cable is always handy. I came up with $83.95, which seems like a high value for the items in this box. All in all, this is a somewhat lackluster but useful box. I know not every box will be a hit, but it was nice to be introduced to new brands.

Great review given the issues! I hope you let us know how customer service handled this! I love the tank top and the concept but I would need everything in great condition and more nice /trendy items before I gifted this or bought for myself. I hope MSA keeps reviewing this one!

Is this geared towards WOC? I didn’t get that vibe at first (more lifestyle) but then I saw the tank and now I’m confused.

Seems like this box needs some fine tuning for sure. I’d be a little weirded out about an unknown sample of cream LOL.

Great review considering all the issues with the box!

It has WOC in mind but its for all “Fun, Fabulous” women and in my opinion geared for women of any ethnicity.

After looking at the June review, I believe it is geared toward WOC, although that hasn’t kept me from subbing to another WOC geared box. I signed up for Essence and love it so far. I know this is a new sub, but I’m just not seeing the value for this box. The last box she reviewed also had a dirty item. It just seems a little sloppy, IMHO, but I’ll be interested in seeing if they improve in the future.
