So we don’t get points anymore for reviewing our boxes?

For those who are not Aces, have you gotten your sample choice email today?

Barbie

I got an email about 20 mins ago.

Terri

Thanks, Barbie. I got mine too

I just cancelled and getting a refund for the remainder of my yearly sub. I would have kept the sub until my year ends if they had honored points, but since they cannot, I said good bye. Now off to spend the points in the shop!

Decided to do one month to get the stila lip product since I liked the other I got then promptly cancelling again I did pick the milk highlighter since it’s the one product I’m not totally bombarded with.

I’m not an Ace member and I was able to select my sample on 8/29! I got the Milk blush and lips sample. I’m new to BB ? so I’m excited to chose. My August box is still on its way and I got a ton of cool stuff in it. I’m wondering if its because I’m new and they want to really impress me. I’m also new to Ipsy and will be getting my first glam bag in September. After comparing both subscriptions I think I might cancel BB for October and just keep Ipsy since I’m interested in makeup more than anything. Does anyone know what’s a better subscription for makeup, Ipsy or Sephora Play?

I also prefer makeup over all, and like Ipsy better as well, but Boxycharm is AMAZING! You get full size and deluxe samples, but the items you’ll receive will be worth way more than what your paying a month, I’ve never been disappointed with them! Another great one is Glossybox, pretty much same as Boxycharm, and you still get points for writing reviews. there’s so many good ones! Right now I get Birchbox, Ipsy, Boxycharm, Glossybox, Allure, Beautyfix, Sephora, Lip Monthly and Most months Walmart & Target, but I get TWO of each box every month, I think I may be addicted?!?!

I think that Sephora play is the best one!

Yay Mary, we are subscription twins! I just got my first BB, waiting for my first Ipsy. I just added Sephora to the mix too (just couldn’t resist!) so I’m curious to see which one is best for makeup, that is my main reason for subscribing.

Liz, I don’t know how to contact you to ask you a question…so I just picked a random box you review…Do you or a member of your team review Laritzy?? I am really curious of their new line!! Thanks

How do we know which of the two shades of Dr. Jart’s BB cream is in the curated box? Do they actually reference your profile for this or does everyone get the same shade? I would definitely select that box if I knew for sure it won’t be too dark for me.

Christine

According to Dr. Jart customer service, all of the samples are only made in the lighter shade.

Dominique

Well that scrappy. 🙁

Lindsay

Oh good! Thanks for the reply Christine!

I can’t decide! If I get the curated box, I know I’d at least have 4 things I can use…I will just add the dry shampoo to my growing pile. If I don’t choose, I’m afraid I’ll get stuck with more, but when I didn’t choose a sample last time, it worked out pretty well. Decisions!

When you get Ace status is that for life after or only for that year? I’m definitely not going to be hitting that every year when they took points away.

Jay

It’s good for the remainder of the year you make it and the following calendar year. For example, if you make ACE status this month, you’re an ACE now through December 31st 2017. Hope that helps!

Julie E

Yes, thanks you!

Carolann

I got the Vasanti® BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator in my last box. It was really great. I think I will opt for another Sample Choice this time. I’m not loving any of the Milk products so we’ll see how I feel tomorrow when my choices open.

Barbie

Hmm, I think I’m just gonna sit back and let Birchbox choose for me this month. I’m usually pretty happy with their selections and for me, other than the mascara, I’d be okay with the highlighter or the color stick (I love the stick highlighters/color sticks in general – I’d be happy to try the Milk brand.)

The box design looks really cute – Very 80’s par-tay!
