Willie Wags pays such close attention to detail in how the package and wrap their items. Everything was wrapped, or tied with twine and had its own card detailing product info, price and website/contact information for the creator. One of my favorite parts of the Willie Wags box is how each information card has a Willie Wags lesson at the bottom.
Willie Wags’ theme this month is a reminder for all of us to Rock On!
Summer Koozies by Sucre Shop- $7 ($3.50 each)
Sucre Shop has fabulous party supplies. I’ve never been to their website before, but I’ll certainly be back before I host my next party. These koozies fit a standard size can. I don’t use koozies, but these are cute colors and sayings!
Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear by Elizabeth Gilbert - $13.72 on Amazon (retail price $24.95)
I might be the only person on the planet who didn’t read Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. However this book has such rave reviews that I can’t wait to read it. I love how Willie Wags always picks such inspiring books!
From Amazon:
Readers of all ages and walks of life have drawn inspiration and empowerment from Elizabeth Gilbert’s books for years. Now this beloved author digs deep into her own generative process to share her wisdom and unique perspective about creativity. With profound empathy and radiant generosity, she offers potent insights into the mysterious nature of inspiration. She asks us to embrace our curiosity and let go of needless suffering. She shows us how to tackle what we most love, and how to face down what we most fear. She discusses the attitudes, approaches, and habits we need in order to live our most creative lives. Balancing between soulful spirituality and cheerful pragmatism, Gilbert encourages us to uncover the “strange jewels” that are hidden within each of us. Whether we are looking to write a book, make art, find new ways to address challenges in our work, embark on a dream long deferred, or simply infuse our everyday lives with more mindfulness and passion, Big Magic cracks open a world of wonder and joy.
Coaching Call with Kaitlyn Stephens - $25.00
Kaitlyn Stephens is a published author and leading empowerment coach. She helps women turn their ideas into ideal careers. I think this is an amazing inclusion in a women’s lifestyle subscription box. I’ve never seen a complimentary coaching session before and I feel like so many women could benefit from an opportunity like this.
Spinster Sisters Soy Lotion Candle - $9.00
Soy Lotion Candles are meant for both aromatherapy and massage. After the candle has been lit for a while and is melting you can pour some onto your skin to be used for massage. These candles are soy-based and contain shea butter, jojoba oil and cocoa butter. Mine was the pomegranate scent which smells great!
May Designs Lined Notebook - $15.00
These canvas covered notebooks are individually stitched down the binding and contain 80 pages. They are 5 inches by 8 inches which is a nice size to keep in your bag for to-do lists, journaling or anything else your heart desires. May Designs notebooks are customizable with tons of colors, patterns, and monogram options. I adore notebooks and I can never get enough of them. I think this one is beautiful and it’s my favorite item in the box this month.
Aloha Beaches Tank Top by Lazy J - $26.00
Lazy J is an Etsy shop owned by Molly Alexander and is based out of Tiburon, California. She has awesome screen-printed clothing. This cotton tank is a racerback style and I like it so much. Now I want to buy her sweatshirt that says “Feed me tacos and tell me I’m pretty” since I’m obsessed with tacos!
Ground Coffee by Ripple Coffee - $10.00
Shocking to many people I am sure, but we don’t own a coffee maker. I love chocolate covered espresso beans and coffee ice cream, but actual coffee not so much. I do however love the smell of coffee and this one smells divine. Plus the packaging is amazing! This ground coffee from Rwanda has notes of honey, black tea and cherry and I’m sure my father will be very happy when I pass it along to him for his morning caffeine fix.
Verdict: The Willie Wags is one of my favorite subscription boxes! Each month their box is chock full of thoughtfully curated products that surprise and delight me. I am consistently impressed with their selections and value. This month’s value came to over $105 (using the Amazon price for the book) and once again I was introduced to many new companies I wouldn’t have known about otherwise.
My favorite The Willie Wags Lesson this month: Think outside the box. If that doesn’t work, throw the darn box away and get creative.
