STARS HOLLOW MONTHLY JUNE 2016 - info 1

Here’s the back of the opened info brochure – which is designed like a Luke’s Diner takeout menu! So cute. I love how they have mock ads for Doose’s Market and a want-ad for employment for Kirk. If you’ve watched the show you know it’s sort of a joke how Kirk just does everything and is everywhere!

STARS HOLLOW MONTHLY JUNE 2016 - info 2

Here’s the inside of the info sheet. I think it’s super cute.

STARS HOLLOW MONTHLY JUNE 2016 - items 1

Exclusive Coffee Cupcake Bath Bomb – value: $5.50

This smells amazing! I can’t wait to use it – I think coffee is one of the best smells in the world.

Gilmore Girls Inspired Post Cards, 3-Pack – value: $9

These are great! I like the artwork a lot. Here’s a better look…

STARS HOLLOW MONTHLY JUNE 2016 - items 2

I’m excited to give the first one (“I love you, you idiot”) to my husband. He watched Gilmore Girls all the way through with me (after it aired) so he’ll get it. I think I’ll put the last one up on my wall, the one of Rory and Paris in their pajamas from when they were being initiated into the Puffs (one of Chilton’s/their private school’s secret societies) in the middle of the night. The hashtag says #iwokeuplikethis. Cute!

STARS HOLLOW MONTHLY JUNE 2016 - items 3

In Omnia Paratus Silk Ribbon Bracelet – value: $19.95

This bracelet is a wrap bracelet you tie on your wrist. It has a little charm on it that says “in omnia paratus” with a little umbrella dangling from it. It’s very cute! That Latin phrase is the motto of the Life and Death Brigade, a secret society at Yale that Rory finds. It means “ready for anything.”

“Oy with the Poodles Already” Quote Wallet – value $24.95

This clutch/wallet’s design is a classic Lorelai-ism, from I think the first episode. Cute design, and definitely a Gilmore Girls “inside joke”/reference for fans.

Here’s a look inside the wallet and a closer look at the charm on the bracelet.

Verdict: This was a cute first Stars Hollow Monthly box! I think they did a good job picking items that represent some classic moments, aspects, and quotes from the show. I also love the design of the info sheet. As far as value goes, everything adds up to $59.40, which I’m happy with.

What do you think about the first Stars Hollow Monthly box? What item was your favorite?

So cute!

I LOVE GG. Been re-watching (haven’t really watched the show since it ended) and I’ve recently watched the episodes with the references made in this box.

All that’s missing for me is a sample of ‘Hey There’, Kirk’s wrinkle cream that turned out to be a bio hazard! (Guess it would be too difficult to ship – I’m sure it couldn’t be sent through the regular mail. …Oy with the poodles already! LOL)

That bath bomb looks great & Luke’s menu is a nice touch! Very cute box!

I love Gilmore Girls so I just had to buy this box but honestly, I don’t know what I’m going to do with this stuff. I kind of wish I had waited. I’ll use the bath bomb. I like that the wallet and bracelet have quotes from the show but they’re just not my style at all. They’re both very tween.

Part of me is wishing this was more of a lifestyle box! A bag of coffee beans, a knit scarf like Rory wears (in cold weather deliveries), a recipe for something yummy from Luke’s, a pizza cutter, fancy chopsticks for endless takeout nights, maybe one of the dainty necklaces Lorelai wears…

There’s something so charming and fun about Stars Hollow and Lorelai’s house and it’d be neat to get items that let you immerse yourself in that space.

This is actually the direction we hope to take the subscription. 🙂 We plan to add (1) “fan” styled item each month with a show-specific quote, or something similar, but the others we plan to have them be exactly the sort of box you just described. Stay tuned for future months. We hope you’ll like where we go with this subscription!

Emergencies, not emergencys…a typo like that would never get past Rory…

Luisa

Exactly.
A monkey lamp!
I would love to have a Colonel Clucker. I can’t find one anywhere.
A copy of Howl, like the one Jess “borrows” from Rory the first time he meets her and writes notes in the margins. I’ve never read it.
A beautiful bulletin board like the one in the Dragonfly kitchen.
A hammer with feathers on it? Maybe not …
So many options.
